Our team was to meet in the parking lot at 5:15-5:30pm to pack. Everyone was officially there when we were about to leave. It was sad. We packed the bus and left at about 6:45-7pm. We went through the city (I was just waiting for someone to shoot up the bus), and got onto the beltway. The busride wasn't too eventful; I ended up sitting in a seat (the only seat, nonetheless) that had a broken air conditioner above the seat. The knob was broken completely off, so the air conditioner couldn't be turned off. I ended up leaving Komal and went up to the front so I could sleep better. Didn't happen. Too cold! Damn those ACs...I got a comfy woven coat in North Carolina when we stopped at this big gas station.
We got to Atlanta at about 6-6:30am, and went to breakfast before going to the Dome. We got to the Dome and unpacked all our stuff. I had to go around and do some scouting and talk to teams. Was quite interesting. At about noon I went to the Chief Delphi Forum Webhug. It was so fun!!!! I met so many awesome people I had wanted to meet. I'll post pictures at the end of the entry. I won't list who I met, but I will post a link to the thread where I list who I did meet.
Afterwards, I went around the pits, and checked out the FIRST store. It was so cool in there! I wanted one of almost everything. Luckily, I didn't buy much. Lucky for my dad anyway *wink*.
Around 4 my dad and I walked to the hotel. His knee was killing him and I was exhausted. So we both went to the hotel and crashed. I talked to my mom for a bit before going to nap. Brittany, Komal and Jamie came into the room around 6-ish. Mason said dinner was up to us tonight since we missed the reservation we had at the restaurant we were gonna go to. So Komal, Jamie, Brittany, her family, and I all went to a mall nearby and ate Dairy Queen food. Was good! I bought a Strawberry Cheesequake after my meal. I needed an ice cream fix (though I ate Dippin' Dots at lunchtime...hehe). After that we all hung out in our hotel room and crashed.
