I'm quite tempted to just dress up again in my cosplay for Halloween if possible this year, however upon checking my calender, I'll be working that day. Shame. Doespn't mean I can't have a little fun through other mediums however (art, writing, et cetera).

I don't normally plan muy costumes. In the States, when younger, I used to go to the store and just buy something there, lazy to be honest. Now I've just been having all sorts of ideas for costumes, albeit, not only for Halloween, for cosplays and other silly events.

Planning can take about a couple of days, sketching out designs and considering materials that could be used. Then it's the actual work that takes longer.

Secrets... Depends on what it would be for. Though would normally tell one or two friends, in case need their help on it and that about it. Other people only find out on the day I show up in it worn.

I already have a new cosplay in mind, although it has no date to be completed on defined. I want to experiment with a few tools I have at home first before even attempting to actually make it. First thing I'm checking if possible to work with a bse of cardboard or if best a light and semi thin wood, but also to be sure it won't be too much weight if doing with wood. Cardboard might be best however quite fragile as well and a simple bumping or whatnot could ruin quite a bit of the work.

I have the basic outline and hows to make one most noted detail of the character - eye patch (guess I'm too much on the one eyed ones xD). However, the base is simple, it's the details later that have to be carved in - and frankly, in my head it sounds like fun.
Most of the armor could be done the same way as well.

For cloth, would only be truly the jacket/vest, since the undershirt could be a plain one (armor covers quite a bit) and the pants could just be simple ones as well.

The only part I'm considering and might be problematic will be the blades, the character carries six weapons as well specially designed sheaths for them.

Another minor pain will be the helmet, If wood, it'd be a bit heavy, but if cardboard, will it still look alright? Meh, I'll figure those things out when I actually begin to test making it out.

And I clearly fled a bit off topic now.

As many may have read in the past about comments of cosplay as well the
anime convention, AniPop, that happens only once a year (also if it comes that year or not), you might already know what this entry is all about.


In the beginning cosplaying had not entirely entered our minds until we (dark_slytherin_ and hazura_sinner) had decided with the opening of the bazar type shop (which didn't happen this year, maybe next year) to add an extra hit and eye candy to attract the crowds. However we still managed to get our cosplays costumes completed before the event and still went on Saturday the 4th of October of the year 2009 in the capital city of Portugal, Lisbon.

Must be getting quite tired of seeing entries jut related to my room, but given the fact this is where I can either rant and comment on my daily life, might as well finish putting this up.

Well due to some annoying developments in the so called family relations. Since my so called mother has decided she needs access to my chambers when I deem it clearly not necessary, I should be entitled to my own privacy.

Celebrities at some point were normal people like us and would dream of having the wonderful spotlight on them, forgetting the fact when they get it, it'd be on the 24/7 with no little button to switch or press off.

So it is a somewhat fair price for them having became famous and gaining the much more someone like you or me at the time being would take centuries to achieve.

However. I do not see it fair game to hunt and poke into their children's lives, the children had nothing to do with their parent's fame and it's unfair to them to not be able to live a reasonably enough life like anyone else.



And this was basically just too cool of my mind thus nothing special written here folks.

Travel back in time huh? How many years though?

Well if they say I could go back only a few years, say around three, I'd tell my younger self to continue in the old course, "Tecnologias de Design" and not attempt to go into Drawing Animation, being despite how much I love animation, I can learn to do a great deal online and through books. I could later pursuit Animation after finishing the 12th Grade, which currently am struggling (due to country laws and other stuff) to complete.

If permitted to go back more years than that, I'd go back at least around ten years, which was about give or take before or around my arrival to Portugal and tell myself that despite my good idea of studying a bit less and actually trying to get friends (and have a life), it wouldn't hurt to study or practice drawing a bit more than I do so today.

On either accounts of time back, I would also suggest a much healthier living style, that I am working to get have today, so that I wouldn't be stockier than most of those I hang around with. As well tell my younger self, to never count too much on the blood relations since they are just as weak as a relation outside could be, albeit it has been the outer relations that are more like a knit tight family than the actual blood, since the people I would meet in the future (for past self) would truly care about my being than what my own so called mother and family is (no idea on father's side given I haven't had contact with them in over a decade - bitch's fault).

Interesting Writer's Block today, wonder if anyone could guess which of the three I put is the actual lie:

* I'm told to do something and always, I mean always, do it at the last moment;

* I care not much for cleaning;

* I can stuff things into shelves, without damaging them, and make a person wonder how was it possible THAT much stuff was in the small space it was.

Author’s Note: I greatly apologize for the poor quality of this fic, it could had been much better but things have been very hectic at my living situation and I wasn’t mentally well put into working with the fic, I’m personally surprised I managed to write even this. Perhaps at a much later date I could reattempt at this same story but greatly improved. Honto gomensai.

As people may have noticed within my DA account (DarkSlytherin) that I have been lacking certain updates due to various projects (started way time back) and are to be completed mostly this summers end, actually a bit before it since our editor requested we try to finish before time so she would have some more better time to focus on the editing and the paging before her school restarts up again (which might be in September than the perhaps usual October (unsure)).

The projects have been mostly Mobile Suit Gundam 00 related, albeit some items we are also doing may not just be related to that. This is a co project with hazurasinner and our editor is darkfaris, we may have other members of our circle (chaotic_rakuen) join us later but currently not within this year apparently (and yes I know the site/comm needs lots of work still, it was only recently created). Our projects are being done in English, so no one has to worry about them being in either Japanese (may attempt doing a book in this language at a much later date) or Portuguese (never do anything in that language, too boring).

At the same time with the opening of our shop we plan to cosplay as characters of our doujinshis/novels as well, for time being I'll only state they are character of the Gundam 00 series, since I'm not sure if any of the group has decided to disclose yet exactly whom they are going as (despite I think some people already have some ideas after looking into the lists and our semi recent updates, no matter how small they were). And before anyone asks, yes we will take photos and upload them for our viewers. The location of the event is in Lisbon, Portugal at the Fórum Lisboa, name of the event is AniPop (link is to their main site, warning however it's not in English, it's in Portuguese) during days 2 to 4 in October (Friday to Sunday).

And now the dreaded joint project/Gundam related checklist (yes there's more) to cross off as they are completed. Note if it is in bold that means I'm very behind on it and most likely trying to accomplish that bit the fastest. I divided mine mostly by the months to make it somewhat more manageable:

Only Cosplay remains completely on schedule. So there will be photos and we will be at the AniPop event on the 3rd of October (Saturday), just look for a Gundam 00 group and you'll find us (doubt there'd be many but we're at least a group of four).

Neil was home alone since his family wanted to go to the big grass patch for the day but Neil had wanted to meet up again with his best friend Allelujah, a wolf cub, managing to convince to let him house watch for the day.

Upon hearing the door being knocked on and whilst still chewing on a piece of celery that was left for him to snack on when he wanted, with little white furry paws he opened the door, thinking it was the cute little wolf that he’d play with secretly behind their parents back, only to freeze stiff at the sight of someone very tall, dressed in strange material that wasn’t fur, and wild red hair, with a very scary looking grin in his direction.

“Well well, if it isn’t a cute bunny I found.”, smirked the man putting a foot between the door wedges as soon as the bunny had tried to shut the door close, now forcing himself into the cozy little house.

Neil seeing that he couldn’t keep the human from entering did the next best thing any of his kind could do and that was flee, however before he could even get two paws away his wrist was grabbed in a non-gentle manner making the young creature yelp in pain.

Ali was a rouge hunter, hunting harmless creatures and beasts for game and shameless pleasures, and today he found a very cute and irresistible toy this time, taking in the white soft fur, long fluffy ears and bushy tail, it made him lick his lips in anticipation.

Neil was shaking in fear as the big dark shadow towered over him.

For me an ideal summer vacation would have a decent backpack and go hiking around Europe, I say by foot mostly since using car is a pain in cities (parking anyone?).
Start with some of the older and grand cities: Rome, Paris, London, etcetera. Have plenty of data drives for a digital camera (as well a camera) and a laptop for it all (extra storage?).

The only main concern sadly is money, since without it the trip would be hard. Though if it was free would be win.

The backpack would just need a couple sets of clothes and mostly necessities. If buy any souvenirs, after a while ship them over to a friends place near home so that only after the trip is over could one check them and give them well.

I had this type of plans for years but of course one needs funds, time and at least maybe one person to do this trip (not saying wouldn't do it alone but it's somewhat more fun with company?). Chances I'd only be able to do this via country per country and bit by bit given money and time I'd have. I know I'd have to visit Italy, Ireland and Greece several times to see just part of it.

I do have actually a few I'd like possible, however the one I see more wanted this month would be able to pass most of my exams - they start on the 16th of June and end on the 23rd of June (six fun filled days of exams with two work days in between {I wonder how fried my brain will be after that - sooo not going to do anything for a few days after them to let brain recharge}).

Albeit since I know wishes never really come as one wants, I need to work for it in order to obtain it. So I have been studying as much possible, been even going to a friend's place to study there quietly and ask doubts (mostly grammar related - my Portuguese is basically enough to get by but for works, I need always a friend to just check if it's understandable).
I'm already planning on not doing one exam, though I might change my mind and at least sit in the exam and try it out (given fact I had already paid for the exams as well).

Ok, don't normally do things semi on a whim, but tonight I did.

It was something posted up on the door (workers only area) in the supermarket I work at, about a staff dinner. I wasn't to go at first, but meh, I changed my mind during the cleaning hour. xD
Cleaning was done faster (then again, some that came for the dinner helped out so we could leave earlier) and we closed the place somewhat record time (few minutes before 10pm).

Dinner was nice, just a little expensive on my thought (11 euros), then there was karaoke (I didn't sing, not really into Portuguese music and the English section was rather limited, was some French but I barely know any song there). Was were there from around 10.15om to a wee bit past midnight. However, the fun did not stop there. We went to a bar next.

Well not all of us, some left after the dinner, two still stayed there doing karaoke. We started with ten people, then two later showed up and in end (at the bar) we were just six.

I didn't want to drink anything too unknown or heavy (despite I think I still did) and had asked a fellow co-worker (normally works in the meat section {talho in PT}) what she'd have that wouldn't be too strong (hint again we still have work the next day). Ended up having a strawberry Vodka and a fellow co-worker/supervisor/boos (not sure what to call him) bought all of us some type of shot (can't believe I accepted a drink having no idea exactly what was in it, then again I trust somewhat my higher up).
Another 4 euros down the drain (so to speak) (only the vodka).

So I had a very nice time with semi complete strangers, since I haven't interacted too much with them unless during work hours. However was a nice experience which I wouldn't mind doing again (though not too soon, my wallet wouldn't handle it too much {given fact I have spent some money this money more than wanted but was a need [will post on the day of it's arrival so you people are semi left in the dark - lol. (and yes, I'm a bit hyper, only reason I even came online at this hour to begin with *sweat drop*)]}).

Only downside this full Saturday (ok we're on Sunday already, don't mind me) was that when I called home to at least warn grandmother that I wouldn't be home at the usual hour (around 10pm to max 10.30pm) I got bitched at for her not having power and that I SHOULD come home right away to at least put it on for her. Note, she could had checked some time during the day and called the neighbor. So I still went and had my fun (and ignored any calls from "family" - despite will have to listen to them tomorrow during lunch {oh joy}).
