So I just received this comment on my old rant from just after Wiscon.

Well, many (most?) superheroines still kind of serve that purpose, no? (bodies on display for the reader's enjoyment; and often bodies with rather thin thighs) At least that's still an important part of them (because yes, they're still written by and sold to sexually frustrated fanboys, and I can't say I'm above them). Maybe for the time being you have to expect a degree of this shit from us and be a bit more prepared? I don't know.
But yes, that's a weird place for the guy to act like that toward someone he doesn't even know."
It's anonymous, of course, and pretty much speaks for itself. Missing the point much? >_< Not going to waste anymore time on this, but I just wanted to share that I got my first really awesome anonymous comment of this nature.
Thanksgiving was fun but busy. We went out to Richard and Mary's at 11, his folks' at 2, and my other family's at 5:30. Way too much food in a short amount of time. On the plus side we have enough leftovers to eat for a week ^_^
