| Bio: | ![]() ![]() Herrow. I'm not very good at introducing myself, nor am I adept at self-promotion, either. A little bit about myself: I am a mother of two beautiful, wonderful, whip smart yet delightfully crazy children. I am very fiercely protective of their privacy so there will be very few pictures of them, and I will share only with people I befriend and trust and feel comfortable with. I tend to be a rabid bibliophile, and my interests in books and authors are eclectic. This also applies to my taste in movies and music. My journal's layout is a reflection of the books and short stories that I love, and I consider it a bit of a homage to the authors and writers who wrote them. I am a pretty easy-going, mellow sort of person and tolerant of most views and opinions; however, I believe in respect and self-respect, so make no mistake, I will definitely voice my opinion if my toes get stepped on. I also believe in equality and acceptance of others. I have zero tolerance for violence, hatred, and discrimination in any form. I will also not tolerate homophobia or racism. Period. I do not tolerate melodramatics and attention getting behaviour, so don't even bother. Emotional and overly dramatic people, mind games and hypocrisy irritate me and I do not care to bask in anyone's overweening ego. As with respect and love, I give my loyalty to those who duly give it back. I'm not into fair-weather anything. If you become a friend, you're a friend for good or bad. Until you fucking irritate me, then you're out. For good. I am a rather private person. I am an ISTJ and an Enneagram Type 5, if that means anything. I'm intensely passionate but I like to keep it cool and hidden from others. Intelligence is an ultimate turn-on. Pair that up with a great sense of humour and I am enthralled. I am willing to share this: I have a tendency to fall in love with book and cartoon characters. If any person had the combined characteristics of say, Opus the Penguin, Zonker Harris, Prince Valiant, Zooey Glass and Atticus Finch, I will more than likely adore you but will probably find the proper Dewey Decimal System to categorize you. Me in a Nutshell... Secretly, passionately romantic. Multitudes of contradictions. Fiery but dormant. In love but distant. Solitary in her own love affair, In her life, in her heart. Secretly, rapturous flights of fancy From within a sepia taint Swirl like trade winds Fanning dreams into a frenzy Lifting them high into the sky While the earth holds her down. Secretly, hopelessly romantic, Wounded and mute. Cynical and terse, Defensive and cutting, It all falls away In surrendering. And because I'm still a kid at heart, , this book remains one of my most favourite Dr. Seuss books. You have to love this penguin. I'll convert for him. ![]() Because who hasn't really thought of saying this out loud? ![]() ![]() | |||||||
