God, it's been ages since I last updated this journal. I've been so busy with GreatestJournal l completely forgot about this one here... tsk tsk, bad Mary.
So, yesterday night was the Oscar's night! I really enjoyed the show (John Stewart was great - much better than Chris Rock) but I can't say I'm thrilled about some winners. I still can't believe Crash won the Oscar for Best Picture and not Brokeback Mountain. I haven't seen Crash (it's not my kind of movie), but Brokeback Mountain was just beautiful. I just don't understand what happened... Also, as much as l love Reese, I wanted Felicity to win the Oscar. I thought she did a better job than Reese in her movie.
But anyhow, the show and pre-show were great. Keira was gorgeous in the Vera Wang dress (can you believe she was wearing 2 million dollars around her neck!); Reese's Christian Dior vintage dress was beautiful too; Uma thurman, beautiful with that Versace dress. Those three were my favourite of the night (both actress and dress). I didn't like Christian Dior's dress that Chalize wore - that flower-shaped thing on her shoulder should go! and I shall keep my thoughts about Jennifer Lopez for myself
Ben Stiller gave the Special Effects Oscars: Hilarious! I laughed out loud watching him disappear. And I loved when, after tripping over, Jennifer Garner said "I do my own stunts". Loved it.
So, I think I have naything else to say - unless you want to read about me drooling over Jake Gyllenhaal and Eric Bana... Thought so, hehe. Then that'll be all for now. I think l'll go to bed now - sleeping only 4 hours isn't good for my mental health... Yeah, l know, what mental health, Mary? Well, the little one that keeps me from going to a psychiatric asylum or some place like that, hee ;)
Oh, before I forget. I made a icon/graphic journal here on JL and on GJ too: secret_graphics (same on GJ too). The LJ one doens't have any icons jet but the one in GJ does (although they're not too impressive). Tomorrow I'll be updating both with icons of models: Cintia Dicker, Ruslana Korshunova and Lily Cole.
Night, darlings! xx
PS. Isn't this layout nice? So Jane Austen.
It's been so long since I update this! Tsk, tsk, tsk...Bad Mary! And bad Jerry too for not letting me log in for the past weeks and not even letting me check my friends journals! You're gonna get your sorry gay ghostly ass kicked, Jerry!
Anyways, I don't really have anything special to say, nothing exciting has happened in my life so far so I'll just say that I won an award at Walking In day Dreams - a wonderful Keira Knightley site - with this graphic:
It's not a great graphic, but I'm proud of it :)
(I upload the award to my PhotoBucket account and you can see it here. )
And now I'll just put a bunch of quizzes I found at LJ and GJ.
Take the quiz: "Which Sin City Character are you?"
You are Becky........you seen inocent but lets face it your a whore. You have the best eyes in the whole movie. your very into your ties with your mother.......even though she doesn't know your a whore. you betray your whore sisters because you don't want your mom to die or find out your a HOE......................But all in all if you got this you are the coolest character..... (alexis bledel rocks) and she looks hot with tose necklaces.
Lots things have happened since I last posted but here are the most important:
1) My mum had an operation on September 30th. At first it wasn't going to be me who'd stay at hospital with my mum (Uni started on October 1st) but my step dad couldn't come back (he went back to England 2 days before my mum had the operation) so I stayed with her at hospital till the doctor sent her home after 5 days.
Yesterday was the first day in 15days she went back to work. The poor woman couldn't be more bored at home, and I understand her. I wasn't at home so she had no one to talk to; she doesn't like tv in the mornings; and she couldn't lift weigh nor bend. All she could do was sit in the kitchen reading a book, and after 3 hours, that's boring. So she's back to work now, and she's happy. And if she's happy I'm happy :)
2)Back to uni. Not exactly my idea of fun but it was great to see Azahara, Elena, Noemi and Nazaret again after this summer :D
No more news about this for now.
3) This last Friday was my birthday!! yay!! 19! woohoo!! I got money, 'The Notebook' by Nicholas Sparks, Troy and StarWars on DVD...Oh,Troy, my preciousssss, yessss my love, it's ourssssss, the preciousssss itsssss ourssss...*ahem* sorry about that, Inner Gollum.
Even though I was happy because it was my birthday, it wasn't the best and happiest birthday I had. No birthday party, no surprises, not all the people I thought that were going to phone me did it...oh wait, I lied about the 'no surprises' thing. Eli did surprise me. She came from Malaga, where she's studying, and invited me to dinner (at Burguer King...hey! It's cheap and I like it ;). She also told me she'd get something from Rome for me when she wnet there with her sister...that reminds me she leaves today, actually. Bon Voyage, Eli!! Miss you!!
Oh, and I can forget my traditional cold on my birthday! Every single year for the last 5 years I've got t a cold for my birthday, isn't that great? No, it's not, but, saddly, I'm used to it now.
Ok, now I gotta go to send Lucy her calendar (I couldn't send it yesterday, sorry hon!) and suddently I'm not in the mood of writing anything else. Byes!
I got to chat to Lucy this morning for a long time, catching up (god, it's been ages!). And then my step-dad arrived from UK this evening, I was so happy to see him! And he got presents! wooo! Lots and lots of books about the legends of King Arthur and his knights and ......*drums* The Calcium Kid DVD! (Told you, Lucy!) yay!
So, It's been a happy day today. Hope tomorrow will be as happy as today! Now, off to see Orlando Bloom :)
Only 11 days til Alex gets officially out of my life! YAY!
Why doesn't my avatar work?!
