Finally my blog post on my Taipei trip! Long overdue!
And so I went Taipei on the 26th March - 30th March and I love it!
Day 1
We flew there by SQ and stayed in Ferrary Hotel over at Xi Men Ding (note to self: please book RAINBOW HOTEL the next time and BOOK EARLY!!). I guess the only good thing about the hotel is the free internet connection. Man, I tell you, it's so hard to find a place with internet connection. I felt so disconnected from the world.
Anyways, we arrived at Taipei almost dinner time and we were really very excited! Just look at that grin on my face. -.-
The feel of everything in Taipei is so different from Singapore! They have motorcycles everywhere and their shop names are in chinese. Actually a lot of their shops look pretty old..
We arrived at our hotel around 7pm. Rather small but still ok.. at least there's wireless! Here are a few views of our room..
We were super hungry by the time we checked in and unpacked some of our stuff! We took the train down to the very well know 士林夜市 for dinner and shopping!
Took this at the platform while waiting for the train to come. It looks just like our MRT system just that it is much bigger and erm, less complicated looking than SG's

Arrived at 剑潭 station.. Decided that we should go check out the Ferris Wheel! Yes! The one which you see in so many Taiwan dramas!
Got bored waiting for the bus and started my na-cism (lalalalala)~ Goodness. The weather there is so freaking cold BUT I LOVE IT!!!! It was 15 degrees on the first night! I am so sick of SG's humid weather. -.-
At the Ferris Wheel.. 好漂亮的摩天轮！A pity we didn't get to take it though. We were too hungry! :P Truth is.. I can't wait to get to 士林夜市! HAHAHA :X
So we took a bus back to the station and off we go to 士林! I love the weather!!! I can't help but keep mentioning that. Haa~ Although it's really cold.. And I still drank Bubble tea. I must be crazy!
First item that we ate was this! 豪大大鸡排！I can't believe the number of people queuing up to buy this chicken cutlet. But I have to agree it's really nice! Though at the end it's all bones that you get.
I look like a glutton! Jenny and I shared 1 piece of chicken because we wanted to try more stuff!
And then we went to try my favourite: RU ROU FAN!!! OMG!! I had that almost every other meal. Even now, I'm craving for that!!!
Ok this is not the focus... Just put it up cuz I quite like this picture. Wahahhahahaha!

Yes! It's erm, small. Only SGD$1! But it's really nice! Sedap!
We tried the 麻油 noodles. Didn't like it a lot. Very oily..
This concluded our first night there! And yes, we slept at 5am. zzz Whoever sleeps at 5am when you go for a holiday. zz crazy.
