u of t sucks. i got waitlisted. but i'm number 10 and 5 for the two that i got waitlisted for. c'est la vie. i'll wait it out. people are bound to drop. i hope everyone else had better luck then me and got all the courses they wanted. if not, don't worry and dont't freak out like i did, lol. the woman at the admin office said spaces always free up.

things have been shitty for a while. i'm waiting for second semester when i don't have to deal with people who make my classes hell. i need a fresh start badly because i'm finding it a bit hard to bounce back. *sigh* oh well. my grandma had a heart attack and my dad is going to poland tommorrow. sometimes i forget my grandma and parents are fallible, as silly as that sounds. i don't like having to acknowledge that they're getting older, it makes me so worried. it seems like time flies by.
i'm going to get my mail, and see if my university stuff came. i need a diversion, even though it's a nerve-wracking diversion.

I warn you all... LOTS of pictures. And they are awfully big for some reason. Also, a note. I am wearing the same sweater because I only took the one with me and it was cold xP which I didn't know. I was really smart and didn't look at how the weather is down there. Anyway, just so you know... I'm not a hobo or anything. And besides, that sweater is so damn comfortable *secretly puts it on while typing which is like so possible* Anyway.

HI GUYS.
i miss you guys and i'm already feeling some anxiety about school. i went on a safari this weekend with my sister and her fiancee who has a "refreshing humour". and then we saw CHICAGO. it was pretty cool, seeing the people dance and sing and whatnot. although the woman who played velma in this one looked a bit old. but she had a great voice and it was just really good. then today we went to cape point or something. and we saw baboons. I'LL BRING YOU GUYS ONE >.> somehow.
OH! at the play/musical the men wore such tight pants, outlining their crotches... angela, it reminded me of you and your butt fetish xD one of the guys stood there for a good minute shaking his ass. you would have appreciated it, i'm sure, haha.
i can't wait to come home and see all of you guys. i'm surrounded by strangeness here and although the heated bathroom floor is great, it doesn't make-up for the fact that i'm homesick. isn't that silly? i really miss my parents =o shock. it's just very different here. but i think the fact that it is so different is what makes it so neat. mountains and forests and water and rocks. it's so awesome. baboons were just lying around on the road, and at this park the ostriches (i think thats the spelling) were just sort of meandering. and they have such pretty verdure, the most diverse i've ever seen.

greetings from cape town! =o 30 hours in airports and i come to africa in winter xD but it doesn't feel like africa; it's very european, with the kinds of cars you would see in london, which drive the wrong way, haha. it's very nice around where my sister lives. it's very upscale, unlike the townships. we passed by several and it's quite depressing. we can't go out at night because it's not safe, which is a bit boring, but oh well. i'm going to see CHICAGO, it's playing here, on saturday. hopefully its good, i never saw the whole movie.
my bathroom has a heated floor. i get excited just writing that. everything here is really not expensive so PRESENTS! haha. lots of very nice african inspired wooden things. bracelets and hair things; decorative, but nice nonetheless. stuff like that is 30 rand or so, which is like 5 or 6 dollars CDN.
and there are seals on the harbour. like nine, all just lying around 3 minutes from the apartment. me and my sister went photocrazy so i'll upload them to photobuckets when she uploads them to the computer. for now, here is a general view of were we are, right on the ritzy harbour:
the apartment is behind the blue building thats at the VERY left of the picture, thats the Victoria & Albert Hotel or something. sorry about the typing- labtop xP anyway, i hope that i can show you pictures soon. it's such a lovely place. the mountain in the picture is called table mountain, and its so beautiful on clear days, and even on rainy days because a cloud envelopes it.
ANYWAY, enough of my babbling. i miss you guys! i'll talk your ears off soon! i'll tell you some of my grievances as well xD i don't want to go off on a ramble here.

leaving this friday.
i'm nervous and excited. more nervous. on my return flight i go from cape town to london, to glasgow, to toronto. and then when i'm going there i have to stay in london for like a whole day (10am to sometime in the evening) before i get on my flight to capetown. so i'm pretty nervous. but excited, of course.
i'll be back on the 9th, and i'll be in school on the 12th, which is a monday. i'll be missing four days of school. not too bad. anyway, i'll miss you guys! can't wait to see everyone at school. even though it's school (and therefore gross), i miss everyone that i haven't seen since summer started! well, i have to go do some light packing.
