Better Than You [12 Feb 2009|08:38am]
I felt weird posting this on facebook for some reason, so I will put it here where 1-4 people will read it :P Enjoy (Seonaid! lol)!

1. Put Your mp3 player on Shuffle.
2. For each question, press the next button to get your answer.
3. You must write down the name of the song no matter how silly it sounds!
4. Put any comments in brackets after the song name.

What do your friends think of you?
“My New Self” (Wide Mouth Mason)
[Am I new and different?]

If someone says, “Is this okay?” You say?
"SOS” (Rihanna)
[I guess that’s a no...]

How would you describe yourself?
“Numb” (David Usher)
[Hmm, not so much I don’t think.]

What do you like in a guy/girl?
“Equalizer” (k-os)
[Equality is good.]

How do you feel today?
“Carnival” (Our Lady Peace)
[I’m not sure how a carnival feels exactly.]

What is your life’s purpose?
“Miss You Love” (Silverchair)
[Wow, that’s depressing!!]

What is your motto?
“Say Cheese” (K-Ci)
[I like it!]

What do you think about very often?
“Ex-Girlfriend” (No Doubt)
[I’ve been keeping a secret from you all...lol]

What is 2 + 2?
“How Could I?” (Oleander)
[I am apparently incapable of doing math.]

What do you think of your best friend?
“Change Your Mind” (The Killers)
[I’m not sure what she’s supposed to change her mind about.]

What do you think of the person you like?
“P.S. ( I’m Still Not Over You)” (Rihanna)
[Huh.]

What is your life story?
“Bridge to Nowhere” (Sam Roberts)
[I don’t like that one at all!!!]

What do you want to be when you grow up?
“How Could I Hold On?” (Stabbing Westward)
[Not sure this makes any sense at all.]

What do you think of when you see the person you like?
“Stay and Drown” (Finger Eleven)
[Wow, apparently I’m really angry at this person!]

What will you dance to at your wedding?
“The Hollow” (A Perfect Circle)
[Maybe not!]

What will they play at your funeral?
“What Up, What’s Haapnin’?” (T.I.)
[Lol that would be hilarious.]

What is your hobby/interest?
“Fly” (Sugar Ray)
[I have always wanted to be able to fly!]

What is your biggest fear?
“Mouth” (Bush)
[I don’t think I fear mouths...]

What is your biggest secret?
“Mission” (Chris Cornell)
[That’s right. I’m on a secret mission! Watch out.]

What do you think of your friends?
“Until” (Joydrop)
[I can get no amusing meaning from this.]

What will you post this as?
“Better Than You” (Moist)
[Haha ok!]

Yay Dancing!

1. If you could become the world's best dancer in one particular style of dance which would you choose?

That's tough, I want to be good at everything! lol I guess I'll go with hip-hop, cause then I'd be cool :P

2. What is your favourite movie about dancing?

Hmm, close call between Dirty Dancing and Step Up! Step Up 2, here I come!

3. Have you ever played Dance Dance Revolution?

No. I think it would be fun to try sometime, but definitely not in public...

4. What song makes you wanna dance every time you hear it?

Many! Right now I'm really enjoying The Music by Rihanna.

5.Do you watch any reality dance shows?

Not religiously, but I do watch So You Think You Can Dance sometimes. And I've caught part of America's Next Dance Crew one or twice now and it's pretty fun too!

Justin Timberlake pictures - as requested! [29 Aug 2007|08:22pm]
I was told I had to put my pictures from the Justin Timberlake concert up here, and after a bit of time and effort, I seem to have finally figured out how to do so :P I am a technological genius!

[ mood | accomplished ]

I don't know what's come over me, but I seem to be posting something! I felt an unusual urge to fill this out and post it, so here it is.

2006 Survey

1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before?
Had fun dancing at the bar!

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don’t tend to make resolutions. Maybe I should this year? Probably not.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Emily!

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.

5. What countries did you visit?
Sadly, none. There will definitely have to be some country-visiting in 07!

6. What would you like have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
To figure out what I want to do with my life and start doing it! (Or at least working towards it.)

7. What date from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
January 4 was an upsetting day for family reasons. May 1 was exciting because Emily had Jacob!

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Maybe getting a ‘real’ job.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Not figuring out what to do with my life. That was supposed to have happened by now.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
No.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
Well, I didn’t actually buy it myself, but probably the Ipod I got for my birthday. Or FutureSex/LoveSounds :P

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Seonaid moved out. And Louise kicked ass and got an awesome job in TO. But really, I think everyone merits celebration! Go everyone! Lol

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Some stupid people at work.

14. Where did most of your money go?
I actually did quite a bit of saving this year. I can’t think of any big purchases. In terms of what I did spend, I guess clothes and food.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
I don’t know if either of these things merit three reallys, but I got pretty excited about the weekend at B’s cottage in the summer, and the Chili Peppers Concert in September.

16. What song will always remind you of 2006?
SexyBack by Justin Timberlake. So great!

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Happier.
ii. thinner or fatter? About the same, I think.
iii. richer or poorer? Richer.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Figuring out what to do with my life!

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Worrying.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Christmas was spent at home with family.

21. How will you be spending New Years?
Seonaid and I watched movies (High Fidelity and John Tucker Must Die) and ordered pizza.

22. Did you fall in love in 2006?
No.

23. How many one-night stands?
Too many to count. Or something.

24. What was your favorite TV program?
Lost, and lately I’ve been getting into Heroes a lot. And there’s always ANTM :P

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Not that I can think of.

26. What was the best book you read?
I really liked Kakfa by the Shore by Haruki Murakami. Also Atonement by Ian McEwan and The Emperor’s Children by Claire Messud.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Metric! Thanks to Brennan and Jeff.

28. What did you want and get?
A good job (good in relative terms, not so much good, permanent and exciting).

29. What did you want and not get?
A plan for the future.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
That’s tough, I don’t think I can pick just one. I really liked The Departed, Babel, and for the cheesy type of fun, Step Up!

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Went to Moxie’s for dinner, then to Tavern United. I was 23.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Coming up with a plan for the future! (is anyone else noticing a theme here?)

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?
Umm?? I don’t think I’m cool enough to have a personal fashion concept.

34. What kept you sane?
Now see, that question is making an assumption that I’m not entirely sure is justified.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Brad Pitt.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
The Canadian Federal election and the Winnipeg Civic election.

37. Who did you miss?
Rebecca, Chris (when they weren’t here), Pracha.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
Carrie at work.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006:
That it’s important to enjoy all the little things in life.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
I’m sorry, I really tried, but this question is just too hard for me! Any suggestions?? lol

I'm a bad, bad lj owner [29 Dec 2004|05:32pm]
[ mood | happy ]

This is because I'm not posting a real update, but rather am just hoping people will fill out this amusing survey-type thingy. I'll do it for you too! :P

I would like everyone to go down this list and pick ONE from each pair that you think describes me the best. Then copy this and post it in your own journal to see how your friends view you.

dominant or submissive
logical or intuitive
social or loner
cute or sophisticated
kitten or puppy
warm flannel sheets or sleek satin
leader or follower
quiet or talkative
spontaneous or planned
excitable or calm
extra credit if you explain your answer!

Well, I suppose while I'm at it I should give a brief rundown of my holidays. After I got back from a great trip to Montreal I was busy with Christmas shopping and a couple trips out to school to do some work in the lab. Christmas itself was really nice. We ended up having our Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve because Andrew and his girlfriend Melissa were coming to our house that night and going to her parents place for dinner on Christmas day. Dinner was tasty as always. Christmas morning was great, we did the usual breakfast followed by present opening after which Andrew and Melissa left and the rest of us had a quiet afternoon (except for the rousing game of Cranium!). Since then I've mostly been relaxing, not doing anything too exciting. I did venture out to Polo Park on boxing day for my first ever boxing day shopping experience. And I must say I don't think I'm cut out for it. I did buy a $10 pink shirt from Levi which was good. It would have been sad to have left empty-handed.

I hope you all had (are having) great holidays too! Happy 2005!

Montreal post! [15 Dec 2004|04:29pm]
[ mood | calm ]

Here is the long-awaited (well, by Seonaid anyway) post for Seonaid's birthday.

I believe the last time I was in Montreal (about 7 months ago) was the last time I posted. Really not very good at this.

So despite a somewhat rocky start (my luggage wasn't on the plane and wasn't delivered until midnight) the trip has been lots of fun. I've been staying with Pracha and we've been doing lots of shopping. I started my Christmas shopping! Barely, but it's better than nothing. Also got a few things for myself including a sweater, long-sleeved shirt and boots. Which, btw, are exactly the same as Seonaid's. I know, I'm unoriginal, but they're really nice! We have also seen two movies that I've really been wanting to see: Closer and Garden State. I liked them both a lot, so that was exciting. I haven't seen Ocean's 12 yet though, so I hope you guys haven't all seen it already, or if you have that you'll go again with me! We've been out for some food too. Dessert last night and Eggspectations for brunch today, which was yummy as always. We may go out for dinner tonight too. Mmmm, food. I also went out for dinner with Rebecca one night which was fun and she entertained me yesterday during Pracha's exam too. The weather has been interesting... Lots of snow starting the night I got here and continuing for a few days, and today it's quite cold. Tomorrow is supposed to be better which is good because we want to go wandering on St. Laurent and don't want to freeze.

Hmm, I can't think of much else to say. I hope this is good enough for your birthday update Seonaid! I'll be back on Friday and look forward to seeing everyone shortly thereafter. Ooh, and enjoy ANTM tonight B and Lou!!

Update! [17 May 2004|10:05pm]
[ mood | tired ]

Well, here I am again. And look, less than two months between posts this time! Go me!

Much has happened since the end of March. School ended, exams and papers came and went but much more excitingly, I went to Montreal! I stayed with my ex-roommate Pracha which was really fun, we got to cook together just like old times! We did tons of shopping, though I think I only bought 3 things. They’re cool things though! Also did lots of eating out, especially breakfast (well brunch really). Gotta love brunch. I also got to see Kate and her apartment just before she moved out of it. It was really nice seeing her before she graduated and left the country forever :P We really didn’t do any touristy things, unless you count wandering up St. Laurent (and down Mont-Royal where we went to Meow and Pracha got a shirt made that says “Tiny but Tough!” which, if you know Pracha, is very appropriate!). But that’s okay, I wasn’t going to be a tourist.

Then Pracha and I flew back to Winnipeg together (she used to live here too, but her family moved to London, ON in the spring of first year) and she stayed here for a week. She split her time between my house and a couple other friends’ places which worked out well. We had lots of fun showing each other our old schools and neighbourhoods among other things.

I started work that same week, we got back on Tuesday and I started on Thursday. Which is good and bad. I’m very excited about all the money I’m going to make this summer, but the prospect of almost 4 full months of working full time is less exciting.

Details about recent events… Saw Mean Girls on Friday with Brennan, Louise, Rebecca and Chris. It was great! I’d heard good things and wasn’t disappointed. Saturday afternoon I spent with my parents and aunt and uncle who were in town. We had lunch at Just Desserts in St. Boniface and then wandered around the Exchange for awhile. It was fun, I never go to the Exchange!

Then Saturday night Seonaid, Megan, Chelsea and I saw Troy! My icon is in honour of the movie. I don't think I've ever used a different icon before, so this is exciting for me :P (Edit: I can't see the icon, can anyone else? This makes me sad. Help?) Anyway, we were supposed to go on Friday afternoon, but the silly ticketmaster people decided to put the finger eleven tickets on sale then (but yay finger eleven concert! July 8, I can’t wait!). We had originally planned to see the 8:30 show, but ended up at a 10:30 one because the earlier ones were sold out. So to kill an hour or so we headed to Perkins which worked out well and was cool cause we got to see the rain and lightning and stuff. It was exciting. Troy was great! I was afraid it was going to be bad after having read a few reviews, but it wasn’t. I didn’t remember the Iliad well enough to be disturbed by most of the changes they made to the plot, and it was quite entertaining. The big fight scene between Hector and Achilles was really cool too. Add to that Brad Pitt running around in a skirt for most of the movie and a few scenes with him nearly naked, and what more could a girl want? lol (I feel like I’m leaving myself open to something there, but I’m going to ignore it.)

Last night the aforementioned Mean Girls group plus Jeff headed to Earl’s for appetizers and drinks. It was lots of fun, though I had to leave earlier than I would have liked since I had to work this morning. But still, good times. Great to have Chris and Rebecca in town.

This week should have some fun too. And soon it’ll be the long weekend! Woo hoo! Very much looking forward to that.

I think this may be the longest entry I’ve ever written. Craziness. I hope it didn’t bore everyone!

This update is just for you Seonaid...

So that picture down there, that was me shaking it before Seonaid and I watched the final episode of Sex and the City (so sad). I forget why exactly I decided to do that or why there needed to be a picture, but I did and there was. I've determined that all my random little dances are just variations on the original "Shake Your Bon Bon" dance. That's okay though, that dance was cool :P Just like me...

Things haven't been too exciting as of late, lots of end of semester school stuff. Though the last SATC episode was exciting (as were the accompanying giant cookies!). So was Fuel on Sunday where Lou and I finally gave Brennan her Christmas present! Yay Christmas in March! Other excitement... Not so much. My trip to Montreal is in exactly 4 weeks from yesterday, so that's kind of exciting, right? For me anyway! And Spring. Who isn't excited by Spring? It was so nice today! I can't wait for summer!! I'm hoping for another hot one.

So, as you can see there is good reason that I don't often update! Nothing much exciting going on, and I'm bad at it! lol

Well, until next time...

Well, here we are 2 months later and it's finally time for another update.

2004 already, I can't believe it! Makes me feel old.

So the break was great. I had a full month off which was absolutely wonderful! It still managed to pass way too quickly though. Had some good times with family and friends. Christmas was good. My present of note being a flight to Montreal from my parents! That will most likely be at Reading Week and should be amazing! The only downside to the time off was that I caught a cold for the last few days and it is unfortunately still with me now. I went to school this morning, despite coughing like crazy for about half an hour after getting up, only to sit through about 20 minutes of my class before having a coughing fit and leaving the room for the rest of the class. After that I decided it wasn't worth waiting around the 3 and a half hours for my next class, especially seeing as I might not even be able to sit through it! So home I went. And I managed to sleep for awhile this afternoon which I'm hoping will help. Missing classes stresses me out!

So tomorrow I'm meeting with the prof and the other student that's doing the independent research project. (for those who I haven't mentioned this to, the idea is that you get course credit for working with a professor on their research and writing a paper) I'm excited about this because I'll finally know exactly what I'll be doing and presumably get started! It should be good.

There are no doubt many other things that I should mention, but I seem unable to think of them at the moment. So, until next time (less than two months? hopefully...).

Well hello there. I have returned from the dead. Or wherever it is I have been. I was going to update yesterday but the site wasn't working and I gave up. Today it is working (yay!) but this will have to be brief (must be getting to bed). Though I'm embarrassed to admit it, I just want to post a quiz :P I know, I'm a crappy livejournal owner, but whatchagonnado? I should also say DAVID USHER CONCERT TOMORROW!!! WOOOO HOOOO! I'm very excited :D :D I'll try to be good an actually post again soon, maybe a concert review? We'll see... But for now, here's that quiz.

hell is freezing over... [10 Aug 2003|11:12am]
...I'm updating!

Many (very many, considering the length of time it's been) things have happened since I last updated. New job (thank the freaking lord) with the City. The IB reunion at B's cottage. I registered for some classes (finally!) but there's still more to be done there. Stupid U of M and there incredible slowness. And it's the middle of August now and summer is nearly over! This is very hard to believe. I can't believe it's been almost 4 months! It's gone by so fast! I am and am not looking forward to school starting. Mostly not :P It's weird that school's only a few weeks away and I'm not getting ready to leave. I hadn't had to think about my decision to come back here for school all summer, but now with school just around the corner, it's hard not to. I'm still confident that I made the right decision, but still, much with the thinking :P

Anyway. Today should be exciting! I'm going to a Goldeyes game with my Mom, Seonaid and her Dad! It'll be fun. And on that note, it's time for me to go shower. But first, a quiz!

I'm really quite bad about updating this thing on an at all regular basis, aren't I? Since it's been so long since my last update I'll just fill you in on some of the more interesting things I've been up to recently.

One thing that I'm very excited about is that I bought a new bathing suit!! Louise and I went on a bathing suit shopping trip and I came away with a great one. It's so colourful! And there's pink in it which is always exciting :P Now I need an occasion to wear it! It looks like my first opportunity may be at Brennan's cottage in a couple weeks, I can't wait!

Last Friday was the Wide Mouth Mason concert that Brennan kindly attended with me. We got there nice and early and got a great table only to wait. And wait. I didn't realize how late the show would start. Though Lou tells me that this is normal at the Pyramid. I guess I'll know that for next time. Before the concert started this guy came out dressed in black with silver flames on his pants and vest. At first I thought he just had an odd fashion sense but as it turned out it was appropriate. He lit the ends of these chain things on fire and started whizing them around and kind of dancing to the music. He would eat the fire occasionally and he also lit his fly on fire numerous times. It was rather entertaining. And just so random! I loved it! lol Then eventually the opening band Burnt came on. They were pretty enjoyable. Kind of rocky/folky with an aboriginal twist. And there were so many people! At least 10 I think, and there was so little room on the stage cause of all of WMM's stuff. But they made do and won over the crowd quite successfully. WMM finally came on around 11:30 I think. They were great! The only downside was that we were quite close to one of the speakers and it was very loud. And it's not as though I've never been to loud concerts before, but this was just too much I thought. But it was still quite enjoyable.

On Canada Day I worked from 11:30 to 5:30, then had dinner with my family before Seonaid and I headed to Corydon. We walked down to Nucci's (my first trip there this summer!) and then strolled back to the car several blocks away while our gelati melted all over us. We then rented and watched Igby Goes Down. It was good! Not overly cheery mind you, but good.

Today I'm going out for lunch with B and Lou. Our IB weekend is only two weeks away and there is much to be done! I think we're going to try to eat somewhere that we can sit outside and enjoy the lovely day.

Well, no doubt there are other somewhat interesting things that I have done in the last two weeks, but I can't seem to remember them.

I'm still awaiting my reply from U of M. I excitedly run to the mail every day and am so far always disapointed. Hurry up you silly admissions people! I'm getting rather impatient here. Maybe it will come today. The mail should be here any minute. *crosses fingers*

I have a mosquito bite on my ear. I'm rather annoyed by this. Stupid mosquitoes.

And with that deeply insightful comment I will sign off. Hope all is well with all of you folk. (ahh how I love to use that word. I believe it's my inner Saskatchewanian (that can't be the right term) coming out)

I've been bad again. A whole week without an update. Bad Care.

I'm up early today. And I wish that other people were up now too so I could do things with them. I suppose maybe people are up, but I don't want to call them in case they aren't. So if you are reading this on Friday morning and are bored, call me! lol

The last week has been alright. Not the best cause I've been sick. Friday night at the Toad was fun. Chris had a really good time and that's the important thing. Not that I didn't too, I did. Rebecca and I walked home shortly after one I think it was. I understand things got interesting after we left...

Saturday my parents got home from Australia which was good. I just hung out at home that day. On Sunday we had father's day celebrations and I had my first shift at the movie theatre. It ended up consisting of watching training videos for the mostpart, but I was okay with that since I was not feeling too good.

Hmm, instead of going through my whole week, I'll just hit the highlights.

Tuesday Seonaid and I got the new finger eleven cd! I think it's good, but I've only listened to it a couple times, so I can't form a real opinion quite yet. I was supposed to work Tuesday night, but that ended up not happening because the people there are dumb. This has lead me to decide to continue looking for other employment. Wednesday I had coffee with the planning committee (aka, Brennan and Lou) and we then watched Rainman, which I had never seen. It was good! Last night I went to Emily's apartment and we watched Dr. Strangelove. It was strange. I had no idea what it was about until we started it. Parts were definitely amusing, but it probably wasn't my favourite movie.

Today B and I are going to head to City Hall to apply for a clerical position. It would be great to get something with the City, cause they pay really well! Though since I have no real experience in the field, I'm not going to hold my breath. Then I'm supposed to work tonight, we'll see if that actually happens or not...

I had an odd dream last night. Well, not really odd. I used to have dreams involving David Usher not too infrequently, but this was kind of out of the blue. (not smack dab in the middle of the blue :P ahh Friends!) Anyway, I was with Christine and I was asking her if she wanted to go to the Wide Mouth Mason concert with me. We were in some public place, I'm not sure where. Anyway, she said yes and then suddenly David Usher appeared and was signing autographs for people. When we got to him I was telling him how excited I was about the new album and stuff and was not at all nervous. It was like I talked to him all the time. He looked kind of more like he used to. He had much longer hair and a strange t-shirt and old jeans. That doesn't really sound that odd, but in the dream I remember being surprised at what he was wearing... Anyway, that was pretty much it. It was neat though! And now I really am excited for new David Usher!! And I think he should come to Winnipeg soon! So far there are just a few shows out East and one in Edmonton this summer. Hopefully there will be one here too.

Hmm, well, that seems like quite enough rambling for now. Hopefully I'll update again before another week has gone by. Oh, and Pracha, if you're reading this, COMMENT! lol

[ mood | sick ]

With some encouragement from Brennan, I'm back for another update.

Let's see here. Monday evening Seonaid and I watched A League of Their Own, which is so great. So very, very great. Then Tuesday I went to the doctor. In the evening I took Rocky for a walk during which I saw someone out running. This inspired me, so I came home and promptly changed and went for a run myself. It was a good run. I was pleased. Wednesday was fun! I went shopping on Osbourne with Brennan and Jeff around noon. Then Seonaid and I went for burgers and saw Bend it Like Beckham, the best movie ever! It was great. It made me happy :) Then we decided to head to Roca's for a bit. We'd been there maybe 20 mins or so when Lauren and Louise appeared. And shortly thereafter, Jeff and Brennan! Then, Joy, Emily K, James and Antonia. And finally, Megan and Issa. It was quite the party! Fun times. Yesterday was also a big day, B, Lou and I finally went for the haircut we'd been planning for weeks! It was very exciting. I'd go into more detail, but it would probably just be easier to go to Brennan's journal and read all about it there. (her user name is rumblycub) Unfortunately, yesterday also brought with it a cold for Carolyn. I'm pretty sure I got it from Seonaid. It's kind of ironic, cause I was just saying on Wednesday how I seem to have avoided catching it so far. Anyway, last night I stayed home, drank tea (as was suggested by Louise) and watched Mission Impossible, borrowed from Seonaid. I had planned to go to bed early, but then my brother came home with a cut under his chin and he thought he should go to urgent care to see if he needed stitches. So I took him over to Miserecordia (sp?) And sadly, he did need stitches. He sent me home and said he'd just walk when he was done cause it would be a couple hours (this was around midnight). So I did, but of course I couldn't really sleep until he got home just before 4! Though I feel especially bad for him, cause he had to be at work for 8:30 this morning! Poor Michael. Anyway, today I had an interview at the movie theatre and Grant Park. It was funny, she asked me, like 2 questions before saying they'd hire me. So that's good I guess. Well, good and bad. Very good because it's a job. But apparently it'll only be 2 or 3 shifts a week at first anyway, so that's not so good. At this point though, anything is good. I start on Sunday!

Tonight is Chris' birthday celebration at the Toad. I'm really annoyed that I'm sick now, cause I was really looking forward to it. I'm still gonna go, but I'm not sure if I'll be up for staying too late. Oh well, I'm sure it'll still be fun. And tomorrow my parents get home! I'm pleased about that. The house feels very empty without them here. And I'm looking forward to hearing about their trip!

Well, I think I'm gonna go get in the shower now. Then I have to try to style my new haircut all by myself! Wish me luck!

It's a lovely day today. I feel like I should be outside playing sports or something. Or at least sitting on a patio somewhere... And while I'm not doing that, my day has been relatively exciting so far. Seonaid and I went to A&B Sound this morning to prepurchase the new finger eleven album and get their autographs and stuff. It was exciting. Though I was somewhate disapointed that we didn't actually get the album today. Just the lyric book (which we got signed). We have to take our receipts in after the release date (June 17) to get it. I guess that kind of makes sense, but it makes it much less exciting :P Anyway, we then drove to my doctor's new office in Windsor Park because I have an apointment next week and I've never been there before. (She moved her office from Corydon. It makes me very sad) I wanted to make a practice run :P Yes, I am a loser. That and I don't know most of the city very well. After that we went to Applebee's for lunch which was yummy! Sadly Seonaid was not feeling too well, so I dropped her back off at home. I had seen in the paper on Saturday that Stephen and Andrew's were hiring so I then went over there to give them my resume. I think that would be a cool place to work! And it would be nice and close. And dammit, I NEED A JOB!!! buh.

Hmm, I suppose I didn't mention what I've been up to the past few days. Although to be honest, I haven't been up to that much. On Friday Seonaid, Chelsea and I went out for dinner to Boston Pizza. Later we picked up Megan and Issa and went to Times Change to see the Perpetrators (sp?) play. However, Chelsea and I weren't really into it, so Seonaid kindly drove us home after their first set. Then I pretty much just went to bed. Yesterday I went for a run which was good. That was mostly it. I watched some baseball, the Jays had a 3 run lead in the bottom of the 9th and then they lost. I was not impressed.

My plan for the rest of today is to pick up my brother at the airport. And maybe get a few groceries. Much excitement :P Okay, that's all!

long time no update [04 Jun 2003|02:20pm]
Well, it's been quite awhile since my last real update, and for that I apologize. I've been pretty busy recently though.

Saturday I had my second Starbucks interview, which I think went okay. They're supposed to be letting me know by tomorrow and I really hope I get it, cause I don't really have any other real prospects at the moment. buh. I can't remember what else I did on Saturday... it was awhile ago! On Sunday my brother and I went to Seonaid's house for dinner. Her parents, knowing that ours were away, had kindly invited us. So that was fun. Later Seonaid and I watched some Sex and the City episodes. I can't wait for the new (and last) season to start! It's so great!

Then Monday I went to Assiniboine park with Seonaid, Megan and Kristin to finish off Kristin's film. It was a very nice day, and we had fun taking pictures with statues :P Then while Kristin's film was being developed at Superstore we had lunch at Grapes. It was yummy, but once again I felt that I had made the wrong decision in what to order. Ah well, live and learn :P

Monday night Louise, Brennan and I had a IB reunion planning meeting at Roca's. We got much accomplished. Including plans to get our hair cut soon! I'm very excited about that. And I had herbal tea at Roca's, which was yummy. I didn't want to have coffee on the off chance that it would keep me awake that night. We went home shortly after 11 cause we all had to get up in the morning for the election. Sadly I didn't fall asleep till after one anyway.

The election yesterday was okay. Very long. I was so tired by the end of the night! But that was okay. I saw tons of people that I knew who came in to vote, which was cool. And it wasn't especially stressful so that was good. I got home around 10 and went to bed by 11. I had to get up this morning to drive Michael to the airport (he's going to London for his convocation) which was kind of sad. Then I met Seonaid at Roca's to help her avoid the cleaning people. We weren't there very long cause she was meeting Nicki at 1:30 for lunch. But it was still exciting. Other than that, my day so far has consisted of doing laundry. Always great fun :P And on that note, I should sign off, I have to put a load in the dryer.

ttfn! :P
