I have that post-bronchitis cough, plus an ear infection, so I just skimmed over the memorable entries for ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) howto, but I didn't see anything about coding for profiles.
I have a text area on my profile, but it doesn't allow formatting like it does here:
Ugh, I can't believe I didn't see this before. This text area isn't allowing me to format my font. I have no idea why I thought it did. I mean, it does if I am making a web page, but not here, let alone my profile. So just ignore the question about the text area.
In fact, ignore this entire post. My question was answered in another community. LJ profiles don't allow style tags. Darn it. ]:

You don't need to know the codes I use to figure out why it won't work, because I know they work, hence the text area and the div box above. They just don't work on my profile.
Sorry about that. Being sick tends to make me stupid. *sheepish* I have no idea what I was thinking when I wrote that you didn't need the code. *facepalm*
I want to know if there is a box code out there that lets me format my font and allows scrolling, and works on my profile.

Problem you are having: problems with the link color at profile page - I am playing aroung with some html and css styles, and so far everything works pretty fine.
But every time I preview my html and css code for my profile layout, the hyperlink color
I choose does not shop up, neither the font style and I don't know what the problem is since I tried many ways of changing the css and html.

The holidays have been lovely so far. Pierre and I cooked Thanksgiving dinner and the overall consensus was YUM!
I'm busy perfecting my knitting for the gifts I am making as well as finishing up the last few assignments for class. I can't believe how quickly this semester flew by!!! I'll be graduating in no time (I hope!)
I can't wait to become some robotic part of the general population!!!!
Hopefully the path I plan on going down will keep me out of that role.
My trip to Panama is a few weeks away. I haven't packed a thing. Most of the things I want to take I will have to buy down there since the baggage policy is so strict...
I am excited either way. 10 days of fun in the sun. I only wish Pierre could go with me. Stupid job.
What else is going on... Oh!
Spur of the moment (kinda) decision today! I'm going to go see Metric tomorrow!!!! I'm in love with their newest album and have always been in love with the band. They play tomorrow night at Center Stage at 8.
I will be pulling the "omfgzzz i need to get up front" move and getting there at 6.
I'm playing it a bit dangerous though and buying tickets at the box office. If they don't have any then I will find some other way to entertain myself. I'm wayyyy overdue to spend sometime with Craig and Abbey so perhaps I will send them a message.
I'm really excited though. I can't remember if Center Stage allows cameras but I certainly hope they do.

Problem you are having: My background won't change from #ffffff to #576487 and when I highlight things it doesn't show up! Also my titles of my journal are #ffffff when I want them to be #576487. Also, in the music/mood area there is no space between the mood name and the mood image, that kinda bugs me.

Problem you are having: #1) I'd like to know how to remove the black outlines from around the ads on the top/bottom of my page, or change their color to #f4c4dc. #2) How would I change the navigation strip's color from the gradient to #f4c4dc? I've tried changing it through the Customization Page options, but nothing changed. :/

I'm not sure if this question's allowed, so if this is against any rules, or there's already an FAQ about this somewhere, feel free to delete it.
I'm trying to put the ads on my LJ underneath my sidebar, but when I change ad placement to 'vertical', the advertisement floats on the left side of my entries, and that's squishing my entry text, as my sidebar is located on the right.
If anyone knows how to make the ad float under my sidebar, or in between the boxes of my sidebar, that would be really great.

Hi.
When I post entries under a lj cut, they appear on the plain white background provided. How do you change it so that the entries appear as if they were on the main layout/background? I still want them under a lj cut, I just don't want the plain white background. How would I go about doing that? I'm using the S2 system, with one of the provided layouts from livejournal.
