Some follow up to
nagasvoice's A Lesson in Improv, and
greenjudy's Keys, which followed my Dust & Ichor, all of which are a part of the developing The Principle of Moments storyline(s). These will (hopefully soon) all be hosted on the Principle of Moments site.
Will possibly be out of contact for day or two, depending on my ability to find wifi in Leavenworth. Wish me luck.
( “I have information for you – a name, license plate number on a truck.” )
Hmm, need to make Fall icons that reflect his current hair. :\
First photo has not been edited beyond resize & the usual stuff, i.e. unsharp mask, border, watermark. Second photo is the same pose, different orientation, and it has been adjusted in Photoshop with about 6 different layers. I like that it doesn't look too over-processed, though; I think I'm getting a teensy weensy bit better at subtle editing. Not much, just a little.

UPDATE: I'll be out of town from now until late Sunday evening. I may or may not have internet access during that time. (Also, I settled on Wren after all.) And yes, I know I've fallen terribly behind in writing the Satyr Crack. I promise I'll return to it, but I'm focusing my creative (free) time/energy on the snake crossover stuff for a bit.
Okay, guys. I have myself a conundrum. A strange one. I'd like advice, if anyone has the time and inclination.
I'm going to Leavenworth this weekend with my family. I'm only able to bring one doll. I have not been able to decide who I want that doll to be.
It's a Bavarian theme town, mostly. I've been leaning toward Wren - she could very well have spent time in a similar place, or in Bavaria itself, during her aimlessly-wandering-the-world period of life - or the Davlin-creature slowly taking shape - there are some nice photo opportunities there, too, though I imagine the Satyr-crack world, at least at the time of Tlaloc, is a bit less shiny than Leavenworth. I like both ideas. I'm open to other suggestions, too.
Help? (I know, I know, I'm useless.)
Another foray into the world of
nagasvoice's bug wars. For more of this, see Naga's and
greenjudy's journals, as well as my posts that I've tagged as snake crossover.
Hope I'm not taking too many liberties here,
nagasvoice. It just seemed the perfect place and time for the two groups to intersect.
( This is the phone the bug’s calling card was used to reach. Doesn’t look like much. All the soft hairs on Wren’s arms are standing up. )
There probably won't be a Satyr Crack installment today, because I'm playing around with this snake crossover idea instead. Hopefully I'll be in a satyr mood tonight at work, and will get some writing done during my break.
Also, I, uh, got the apartment. I move in on October 1st, when it's been vacated by the current tenants and cleaned. Already signed the lease and put the first $200 of my deposit down as a holding fee.
Again, for more information on what this bit of writing is about, see the journals of
nagasvoice and
greenjudy, and also the things I've tagged with snake crossover.
( “Either someone out there is doing some very, very illegal genetic engineering, or we’re about to be invaded by aliens.” )
Bowed down to temptation. Joining in here with
nagasvoice and
greenjudy in exploring the bug-infested potential world they've created. For some idea of what the HELL this is all about, check out their journals (under the tag "snake crossover" in GJ's, and all OVER the place in Naga's).
( Jian doesn’t have an answer for her. )
Since I don't feel like putting all of these photos on my deviantArt account (where I've been putting photos lately) I'll go ahead and post them here.
I got a new shirt in the mail from
jenovan yesterday (once I got home from being away all weekend), and it is striped and dorky. Naturally, Luke got to try it out, because he's my sweet and dorky boy. ♥

This time with pictures!
Davlin (he's a work in progress, please forgive the suckage), back in his days on the Savannah with Cayo (who was part African Lion, by the way) when he wore his hair long and ran around in pelts. It was a completely non-industrialized part of the world at the time - it's still relatively unpopulated even now. Not a lot in the way of big cities. Mostly small subsistence communities. This was, of course, a couple centuries before Davlin built the gun.

Like I said, I got my hair chopped again. Makes me look like a boy. Amusing.
Just put in an application for a 1-bedroom, 723 square foot apartment. I'll know in a couple days if I've been approved or not. Prospects are good. I sure hope so - I'll have my own space, just me and MingMing and the dolls, where I can work on dolls or eat pizza on the floor in the living room or wash laundry/dishes or walk around bare-ass naked and not worry if I'm offending any roommates or being a nuisance or anything. It'll be my territory, my domain.
In case anyone can't tell, I'm excited. ^__________________^
So I made some delicious curry last night with organic gress fed, free range chicken from the menanite farm down in southern DE. I also picked up homemade bread, homemade mozzarella cheese, lots of fruit, and some veggies. One of my neighbors has been growing fresh basil so I used that in my thai curry as well as some local "candy onions" and omg yum. Then today I had the bright idea of making a sandwich using Naan. So here is what I did:
One piece Naan (or whole wheat flatbread)
Leftover chicken curry
Fresh Mozzarella
Extra virgin olive oil
Fresh Basil - not dried!
Brush the Naan lightly with the olive oil. Put down a layer of fresh basil, then a layer of thinly cut mozzarella, then the chicken on top. Place in an oven at 350 degrees and heat/toast for 10 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes or so, fold Naan in half and VOILA! Incredibly yummy sandwich.
I'm thinking of dried tomatoes and pesto instead of the curry chicken next time. <3
Another short piece. Tlaloc's not a happy camper right now.

This would be longer, but I've got to get to work. ^_^ As it is, I think it's not too shabby a length.
Jizzshurat's animal is the Papuan Taipan, which is very, very similar to the Coastal Taipan, except in habitat (Papua New Guinea) and coloring. A picture of one can be seen here. And yeah, for anyone wondering, Jizzshurat and Zsuzsa are my nods to Jian Yuan and Wren in this story.
