well this was weird

So I've found myself in a strange situation and am somehow seeing this 28 year old guy. This means he is a decade older than I am. Unfortunately, the more I hang out with him, the more I like him. He is very conflicted about the age issue and doesn't really know what to do..I don't really know what to do either. I definitely did not expect anything to happen.

i. finished reading: Snow by Orhan Pamuk, was amazing; An Unquiet Mind by Kay R. Jamison, a really interesting memoir, I liked it a lot.

ii. need to see: Public Enemies, 500 Days of Summer, Moon, Harry Potter

iii. am really enjoying seeing people one-on-one, talking, socializing without mass amounts of alcohol

iv. I want to see if I could sell drawings/paintings...how? I have no idea really. Or if anyone would buy anything - most likely not, but it's worth a shot I guess.

v. have realized that I really do not like dwelling on the past for too long

vi. have figured out an actual schedule for fall term: 9:30 classes three times a week, 10:00 the other days. Awesome.

vii. I honestly do not think I will ever be happy with the way I look. And I hate saying this here because I hate talking about body issues with people (and so I never do really). I mean, I guess I'm being kind of hypocritical here, seeing how I get annoyed when other people become too self-deprecating. But this is livejournal, there are like 4 people I know who read this so I'm not too worried. I've gotten to a point where I'm just accepting self-defeat, as I will never look the way I want to, haha. Oh well.

"Through all the ages - when the pavement was grass, when it was swamp, through the age of tusk and mammoth, through the age of silent sunrise, the battered woman - for she wore a skirt - with her right hand exposed, her left clutching at her side, stood singing of love - love which has lasted a million years, she sang, love which prevails, and millions of years ago, her lover, who had been dead these centuries, had walked, she crooned, with her in May; but in the course of ages, long as summer days, and flaming, she remembered, with nothing but red asters, he had gone; death's enormous sickle had swept those tremendous hills, and when at last she laid her hoary and immensely aged head on the earth, now became a mere cinder of ice, she implored the Gods to lay by her side a bunch of puprle heather, there on her high burial place which the last rays of the last sun caressed; for then the pageant of the universe would be over."

-Mrs. Dalloway, Virginia Woolf

I'm reading this book right now and I am loving it so much.
