Have recently been bitten by the writing bug and am now in the very early stages of forging some kind of career in it. Currently working as a press officer as my day job, studying for a distance learning course in journalism on the side, and have also recently written my first novel - which is a murder mystery/chick lit story that sounds a lot grander than it really is, as it was written in less than a month as part of National Novel Wrting Month (or NaNoWriMo to all you seasoned pros) and is therefore mostly absolute drivel (but nothing that can't be sorted out in the edit right?) I'm hoping to get a couple of articles published in a local mag too.

Have a very addictive personality (smoking, drinking etc, not to mention my virtual writing buddies - who have, in recent months, become essential to my wellbeing. Which I know is slightly tragic. But should point out that I don't care.)

Am also very stubborn. And I like things that are pink. And I still sleep with a blanket in my bed (much to boyfriend's dismay). And if I didn't eat chocolate and/or cheese regularly I think I'd die.

My goal in life is to become a world famous author, with enough money to retire to a gorgeous coastal pad in Kenya with my husband, three gorgeous children, six dogs and two cats (none of these exist yet by the way, but I'm working on it).
