I had someone cancel on me and-
I'm helping with an event called Fashionata

I start faces at 4:00 near lenox mall and the Terminus building. You can leave after makeup is done, or if you wish to stay for the event, you may.
What I need:
Someone to keep track of my stuff, which models are next, who is done, "sealing" the models, Perhaps applying false lashes and some gemstones as finishing touches, cleaning my brushes....
There are over 60 -75 models-
there are aprox. 8 - 10 Makeup artists and we all have our designated models and looks.
If you're free and can help me out- gimme a call.

1.What is your name/What would you like us to call you? Karen
2. How old are you? Old enough to hate this question, haha. 28.
3. What makeup experience do you have, if any? Self-taught; enough photo shoots to have gotten the hang of faces that aren't my own. First shoot was a year and a half ago; working on getting into bridal for a living.
4. What is your makeup style on a normal day? When I'm with the kiddies at work, I don't usually wear any- but when I do, or on days when I just throw some on for running around- I wear at least two or three shadow colors, fill in my eyebrows, full face (foundation, blush, highlight- and if I'm not lazy, I contour), usually two or so layered lipglosses- most likely LipVenom 2nd Sin as the first layer. And of course mascara, duh. Complete with goofy mascara face :D
5. What is/are your favorite brand(s) of makeup? Yay, favorite question ever! Urban Decay, NARS, MAC, Lorac, Mehron, Ben Nye. Love Avon mascaras to death!
6. Recommend this community to atleast one cosmetically talented member. Tell us who. Grrrr... the number one person I'd recommend (my boyfriend's sister) isn't part of LJ and unless she's makeup shopping isn't super into doing much of anything online, actually. In all actuality, I have no clue who's on LJ anymore- I haven't used it in a ridiculous amount of time.
7. Who do you think has the best makeup in this community? I've always been a fan of Leprosy and Agoraroarasuras; definitely diggin' Londonafter12am; Xenia of course is amazing... udklit has fanfreakingtastic lips and some gorgeous color combos... Sondra rocks my face off all the time... dammit, this question isn't fair! I am so indecisive and I love way too many faces!
8. Where do you get your inspiration from? Clothing, people's faces, other people's work, music, emotions, weather, flora and fauna... well, let me just generalize it and say life altogether!
9. Why should you be accepted/What can you bring to the community? Erm... because I want to be? Haha. Because I think I'm fun and because I always love getting feedback both on my own face and shoots I've worked on, and I think this community will provide plenty of both. I will bring lots of pictures! (Although I have been known to be lazy about posting- but when I do, there's a crapton!) And I will bring my oh-so-charming personality and my love for proper grammar and typing. Weeee!
10. Who is your favorite professional makeup artist and why? Hrm... there's a girl from Cleveland I discovered on Model Mayhem who does absolutely amazing henna work, her name is Maya. I think Billy B does some supafly stuff, of course I have a soft spot for Kevyn Aucoin (come on, how could I not?)... another girl on MM from London (Angela at HennaSpirit) is incredible... not sure how "pro" all of the MM people are, but there are some insanely talented people on there. A friend of mine, Jenna (J.Lowe on myspace and Model Mayhem) is pretty rockin', too.
11. Post at least 6 DIFFERENT looks of your makeup for us to judge.

I was pretty stoked, I'm graduating from college in December... and I never have any idea what to tell people when they ask what to get me for presents, so I had a stroke of genius and made a Sephora gift registry! I got a little overexcited, haha, there's like over $1,500 worth of shit that I put on there, but whatever. I think everyone that's looked at it thinks I must be insane. But hey, I figure if I only get like 3 things I'll still be lucky as hell.
God, I wish I had more money to spend on makeup; I went to the local Sephora last week (got one of the new BareMinerals tutorial sets in Foiled Eye, and it comes with the BEST shadow brush I've ever used in my life) and spent $60 and it only got me like 2 things! Wtf. Oh, but here's my registry if you want to look at some of the sweet products I found after surfing the site for like 2 days; the special Too Faced collection sets and the new Kat Von D shadows?!? Fucking ace. I tried the Kat shadows on the other day... blend like a dream. But totally out of stock at the store and online! Horrible.
P.S. BareMinerals Buxom Lip Gloss = best plumping gloss ever. I highly recommend it.
Anyways, now that I've babbled on about makeup for 20 minutes, here's a couple looks from the weekend...
