I sold my soul to HTMLCounter.com for this!
"Film as dream, film as music. No art passes our conscience in the way film does, and goes directly to our feelings, deep down into the dark rooms of our souls." - Ingmar Bergman, Director of Film
"If the whole universe has no meaning, we should never have found out that it has no meaning: just as, if there were no light in the universe and therefore no creatures with eyes, we should never know it was dark. Dark would be without meaning." - C.S. Lewis, Author
As many of you may already be conscious, I'm the one, and only, Samuel B. Prime that lives in the Tri-Cities area, as far as I know. (The "B." stands for Bishop, as I'm most positive was your very next question.) Regardless of my knowledge, there is always the possibility and chance that a clone is lurking in the shadows, impersonating my glorious presence at any given opportunity. Ah, yes; I speak of the teendom, if you will, that I so implore with my sole breath. If you, any of the lot of you, attain knowledge as to the whereabouts of the aforementioned false, feigned Samuel B. Prime, that filthy impersonator, information and leads would be greatly appreciated.
Son to the Bachelor of the Arts/Former Interim Professor at Saginaw Valley State University, Craig C. Prime, I live a comely less than mediocre existence filled with highpoints and dropdowns, as most beings of 'normality' tend to practice. We're not all that different you and I, save for I manage to entertain myself throughout all of these times, whether it be by thoroughly ingenious, spontaneous self-amusement, which in turn captivates the gaze of others, or by some not-so-wise choices. Now, hear me, dearies - I do not speak of any illegal substances, in the least! Come with me, and you'll be... in a world of pure imagination - or something equally as unlikely.
What'll be my pleasure, you shall so inquire?! To be truthful, when distraught I've generally taken to slicing my arms, which has left me with some - ahem - permanent scars, as disappointing as that may seem. Albeit that up until recently I had gone cold-turkey for 7 months, I regret doing so again, and aspire to halt. ^^
In life, it is my personal admonition and will to attend a college of Film Production, as well as one particularly well-versed within the realm of Cinematic Studies. Top on the list of choices currently are: University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, Michigan & New York University - New York, New York. Hopefully, if all of the experience and training thus far in my life pays off fruitfully, I will be capable of Dual Majoring in Film Production, as well as Cinematic Studies. Time shall tell.
As far as film experience is concerned, I've served as Writer/Director/Editor on the following short films.
Short Films
1. Tidy Boost
2. Don't Putsch Me Down
As well, over the Summer of 2004 I had the explicit pleasure of serving as Lighting Director and Assistant Cinematographer, as well as helping out generally around the set, in a local, independent feature film entitled Locked Away. Now into the post-production stretch, the website and the teaser trailer will soon be up and available for the public to see. Be sure to check back often for updates!
In addition to my interests in becoming involved with the film industry, I have recently taken an extreme, vehement liking to viewing films, as a personal hobby. My most recent endeavors are inclusive of the following titles: The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoise, American History X and Jean-Luc Godard's Band of Outsiders.
Currently, on the list of films to see are: Salo: The 120 Days of Sodom, Jean-Luc Godard's A Woman is a Woman, and the original cut of Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in America.
Another fun fact about my oh, so meaningful existence is that I adore music, of any and all kinds, to be generally vague. ^^! A few of my favored bands/artists are as follows: The Apples in Stereo, Johannes S. Bach, The Beat Fleet, Cibo Matto, Earth Wind & Fire, The Eels, Ennio Morricone, The Flaming Lips, Le Tigre, Mika Bomb and the Pixies.
