would you like to see my gargantuan tomato plants?
you would? well, here you go:

those poles are 7' tall. that is my bedroom window hiding behind there...somewhere.
there is an infinite crapload of tomatoes brewing as we speak.

i found myself alone today which is kinda sad. so i made a lot of food.
for starters:

guacamole that resembles poo when photographed and baked whole wheat tortilla chips. also pepper jack cheese.
main course:

my most brilliantly cooked steak to date. roasted veggies, and french fries.
and for dessert:

i didn't get enough raspberries from the bush outside so i added grapes and made sorbet. also i kept the seeds in. not all the way frozen yet but i couldnt wait any longer.
i met the lady who feeds the deer, turns out that she is in the apartment with the 4 zillion plants hogging the balcony. she gave me a heads up on the foliage outside, and the lowdown on our neighbors in the valley. she is pagan. i am not surprised by this.

boog was going to take me to TGI friday's for lunch today because of my unealthy obsession with their green bean fries. today was probably not the best day to go to TGI friday's, so we hit the farmers market instead and i made my own at home.

i used multi grain bread for the crumbs, and the sauce consisted of wasabi, cucumber, garlic, and mayo. also, a salmon cake that got a bit too done, because i could not possibly have enough fried food here. i am working out extra tonight.

1 cup lentils, cooked
1/2 white onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
2-3 cloves garlic
1/2 zucchini, sliced
10 oz grape tomatoes, quartered
whatever amount of jalapenos you can handle, chopped
salt
equal parts of:
olive oil
red wine vinegar
in a pan, throw in some olive oil and heat up on medium/high heat. throw in green pepper, zucchini, onion, and garlic, sautee until tender. throw in tomatoes and jalapenos, add a bit more oilive oil and add red wine vinegar. continue to cook for a bit, then throw in lentils, folding in until everything is evenly mixed. salt to taste. let simmer until you dont feel like it needs to simmer anymore. serve with either brown rice, pita, or in my case, the whole wheat pita chip remnants from the bottom of the bag.

spicy basil tofu and brown rice.
this

prompted me to make this

which is one of them mccormick crock pot seasoning thingers, a crapload of chicken, tomatoes, onions, and spinach. i put spinach in everything now, its become my staple food. my crock pot bit the dust, though, so i just threw it in a regular pot.
i found barilla plus in the store and it's pretty damn good. also, healthier. a bit pricey but i dont eat pasta very often.
says the person who had pesto yesterday. heh.
trivia: one of these pictures was taken with my digital camera, the other with my phone. guess correctly and you get...uh, something.
