i have never, ever had poison ivy before in my life. however, thanks to my camping experience i know how to treat it. so that's hwat i'm doing now. but holy hell did it show up in the most amusing places.

NEVER AGAIN. REALLY. well, maybe next year when i'm stronger. but those hills were fucking HILLS, the kind that look like a giant wall when you are coming up on them. and they went on forever. and they were the kind of hills where you are just going from flat to up, there is no down. and when you thought they were done there were more. and then on mile 28 your legs are bricked and *any* incline feels like the big hills.

i woke up late - 6:15. hit the road @ 6:30, met up with shawn at the choo choo stop at 7:30 [16 miles in] and i pulled into the parking lot at 9.

IT shawn did fantastic. he was slow but he proved himself. near the end i got really ahead of him and ended up in the parking lot about 10 minutes before him.

and, after that, we walked up the 3 flights of stairs to the office. haha.

the guys requested that i stay in my bike shorts today. yeah, how bout no.

shawn: so batty! what's for lunch today?
me: i dont know, but i need something hefty.
shawn: yeah, jay suggested sushi but i think i need something more substantial. like.....a cow.

i feel good right now. really, really good.

my bahleetion wasn't intended to be dramamongering and/or attention whoring, lj was depressing me a bit, i felt that i had to step away and just sort out some personal stuff, and bahleetion was a surefire way to avoid lj temptation.

so, there you go. thank you droid and andrew and &reux and travis and habibe and jessie and onyx and stephen and laura for giving me a little poke. huhuhuhu i said poke. that actually meant a lot to me.

AND i got a voicemail from ass_ that was actually awesome.

i am ok. actually, i am better than ok because something just really phenomenal happened to me yesterday and now i am just srsly loving life.

if you can stomach going out on a worknight, i am spinning at the phantasy tonight!! oh, there might be this band called thoushaltnot there too. lookin forward to it.

i had an appointment in parma heights so i decided to save some gas. of course, when there is even just a *slight* chance of rain, if i am on my bike i will get caught in it. it always happens.

i was literally 500 feet from my destination when the deluge hit.

decided to hit the trail for the ride home. this was the first i have biked this week. i have been incredibly cranky because of that.

dumbass me thought she grabbed her bike shorts on the way out the door. no, it ended up being two shirts, so i could not go biking today. the amount of anger i feel about this is incredibly overwhelming. no, really. i was *pissed*. a phone convo with wraptboy helped me calm down. so boog and i went to the pool.

i have a chimpunk having its way with my garden. things are being put into place to prevent him from tearing more shit up. however, if i see his cute little furry face again, i will grab him by the tail and bash him against the wall until his cranial contents are nothing but a bloody stain against the brick.

....you think i'm kidding.

i will now perpetuate my woes of feeling fat today by going with boog to get ice cream. at least we're walking.

thanks to boog's mohonk, the kids at his sitter's have taken to calling him mr. t. boog thinks this is also funny. jeremy and i dont find it to be as such. i think the kicker here is that the sitter is doing it, too.

while it is a relatively harmless name, i am considering saying something to the sitter because i dont really think she should be condoning such behavior, much less participating in it herself. but i also dont want to seem over reactionary, either.

thoughts plz. also i dont need 52 comments about how everyone in your own neighborood is so accepting and liberal and how awesome this is. considering this is my only problem at the moment, i think i've got it pretty good.

i found myself alone today which is kinda sad. so i made a lot of food.

for starters:

guacamole that resembles poo when photographed and baked whole wheat tortilla chips. also pepper jack cheese.

main course:

my most brilliantly cooked steak to date. roasted veggies, and french fries.

and for dessert:

i didn't get enough raspberries from the bush outside so i added grapes and made sorbet. also i kept the seeds in. not all the way frozen yet but i couldnt wait any longer.

i met the lady who feeds the deer, turns out that she is in the apartment with the 4 zillion plants hogging the balcony. she gave me a heads up on the foliage outside, and the lowdown on our neighbors in the valley. she is pagan. i am not surprised by this.

there is some underlying current of douchebaggery in the air and i can't really put my finger on exactly what it is. its like the college roommate that you'd hope to never see again suddenly shows up at your door and ends up staying on your couch for a week in nothing but his underpants, eats all your good food, and pokes fun of every single thing he finds odd about you.

i hate that.
