so i had mentioned my car died. its still dead, will continue to be dead, and it put me in a situation that i care not to expound up on here, but back in the day when i purchased my RAV4, i got pretty screwed because back then i had crappy credit and was pretty naive. but i had to get a new car. and i said so on facebook.
that's when rob gasper commented, asking if he could help out in any way. i'm all "oh yeah! i could get his advice cuz he deals cars" and so i told him my situation. although i gotta say i have been diligently working at improving my credit over the past 4 years or so, and at this point its about 150 points better than when i got my rav4, so i at least had that going for me. first off, he gave me a crap ton of good advice. then he was all "holy shit, batty, let me see what i can do for you" and that's when the awesomeness happened.
he had talked to a few other people about my situation to get their input. one of them was his old boss, kevin, at heidebrecht chevrolet. kevin, i will say, is also awesome, because a while after rob talked to him intially, he actually called rob back and said he'd totally be willing to work with me if i didn't mind doing stuff over the internet.
i dont think that would be a problem.
my dealer over there, lara, who i probably scared because i am REALLY outgoing over the phone, REALLY worked with me to find something that would fit my needs and my rather tight budget. rob also rocked it for me and i ended up getting something ridiculous like 4 grand in discounts. AND a pretty ridiculously cheap price on thop of that.
and this is what i got:

my 2010 HHR. i'm calling him the DERP. keyless entry which i havent had since my VW, remote start [!!!!!], free onstar for a year and since i got the dealer discount with this i can continue onstar for like $15/month after that if i want oh my god i am so going to abuse that, mp3 player hookup, and free XM radio for like 3 months that i'll let lapse cuz i'm happy with pandora.
i got a rate that i expected after having applied for pre approved loans online, but when all was said and done, i'm not paying that much more than my payments were for the RAV4. i have to plunk down a down payment a bit more than i had, but my internet boyfriend
goth_poser_guy stepped in and gave me an advance on the freelance i am doing for him.
let me tell you, internet, just how entirely grateful i am for all of these guys and glad that i didn't have to end up getting another shitty used car. i am so in love with this thing. you can bet your sweet bippie that flames will happen, fuzzy leopard print seat covers, and a chrome skull gear shift knob.
the issue: i gotta drive to michigan to get it because my life is full of adventure like that. so, next saturday, D and i are towing up the RAV 4 to get it. i dont think i've been up that way since the VW incident of 2002 [huh, what is it with me, detroit, and cars??] and i havent seen a lot of you in person since then. if we can get crash space, we could totally spend an evening up there and i would love to hang with my detgoth friends because y'all are some of the oldest, closest friends that i have. so, please let me know and i can plan accordingly.
my mom came over last night and i cooked her dinner because she turned 64 this week. i made her this cake, which if you are looking for a "healthy" chocolate cake, this comes highly, highly recommended. i topped it with a chocolate ganache and organic red raspberries, and it was absolute heaven. it was polished off by the end of the night and that's pretty much my refeed day right there.
in other notes, i was flexing in the mirror, as i am apt to do, when i noticed a small lump in my groin. i'm all "oh HELL no" and i called D over to take a look. he said "look at that! that's awesome! your definition is showing!" and i'm like UH NO DUDE YOU JUST CONFUSED MUSCLES AGAIN WITH A GOD DAMN HERNIA MUCH LIKE YOUR DOUBLE ONE THAT YOU ARE GOING IN FOR SURGERY FOR AT THE END OF THIS MONTH.
this is not an official diagnosis, but i am going in for a physical to confirm. i swear to god i am making up for all the years i've spent NOT being injured.
