TDK Viral Marketing is Cooooool
Today I went in to Boston following the viral game going on for the The Dark Knight. And I got to see the knewest trailer at the theater! Woohoo. And I got a Joker card. The scanner is hooked up to another computer but I'll post it eventually. Here's a picture of the clown who met us in at the Boston Common and gave us our cards. And a trailer description for anyone interested.

Yeah, the weather was horrible...

Trailer

It opened with shots of what I think is the Hong Kong filming with Batman on the high rise - multiple angles. He dives off the building. Bit with the Joker talking to the criminals sitting at a table, saying something like how their all getting beaten down but he has a plan: get rid of Batman. Later there was a nice bit (pretty sure a continuation of the scene above) where the Joker says he'll leave his "card" with them, flashing a Joker card. Another bit had a VO of the Joker saying, There's no more flare (I forget the exact word) in crime anymore and that he was going to change all that. Scene of Bruce meeting Harvey and Rachel at the dinner table - Harvey says something like, Rachel's told me all about you. Scene of what I think is the pent-house party: Rachel tells Bruce something like she doesn't want to be the only thing tying him to the real world, then proceeds to walk off with Harvey Dent. Scene of Harvey asking Alfred if Rachel has any psycho ex-boyfriends to which Alfred replies "You have no idea" (also penthouse). More shots of Joker approaching Rachel at the penthouse. There was a shot of Harvey with his head pressed against a wall or door screaming "NOOOOO!" Also a profile shot of Harvey in the back of a car lifting a handgun - I think this was post-acid: his profile was his good side but it looked like a little burn was creeping over; it was during the day. There was some more of the nighttime street fight between Batman and the Joker - I saw the Joker flip out a knife this time. Near the end a scene of Bruce, Rachel and Harvey at the dinner table with Harvey saying, You either fight until become a villain or you die a hero. There was also a shot of what LOOKED like Rachel getting knocked off a building with the Joker there - but it was really fast so don't hold me to that. The final bit was a scene with Alfred and Bruce having an exchange about Bruce taking out (I think) the Batcycle or somesuch, and Bruce said no but then took a fast car and was driving crazy - I think I missed whatever joke was in there.

Aaron Eckhart was hot - really hot.
