10 of the strangest things One Direction fan fiction has taught us about Harry Styles
 If there's one thing we know about Directioners, it's that they're creative. But forget flashmobs and hiding in bins as One Direction fans are never more creative than when it comes to writing an elaborate and often fairly filthy fan fiction starring the lads. Seriously, in one we had a read of, Maura Horan's character actually kidnapped a girl for dating Niall. Yes, HIS MOTHER. But that's a whole other story. In the mean time, if there's one thing we've noticed from reading all this, it's that we seem to have missed a few things about Harry Styles. Important things like that his greatest desires involve both biting people and dressing up as Robert Pattinson. Who knew fictional 'facts' could be so fun? Stone Temple Pilots try...something with the guy from Linkin Park
 (LOS ANGELES) – Fans attending KROQ’s annual Weenie Roast over the weekend got a real surprise when Stone Temple Pilots took the stage unannounced, for a blistering set with Chester Bennington of Linkin Park as lead vocalist. The crowd went wild as the band performed STP classics like ‘Sex Type Thing’ and ‘Vasoline’ and also debuted a brand new song, “Out of Time”– the recording of which KROQ premiered immediately following the band’s explosive 40 minute set. When Stone Temple Pilots band members, Dean DeLeo, Robert DeLeo and Eric Kretz began thinking of singers to accompany the new music they were working on, Bennington was at the top of the list. “Chester has a one-of-a-kind voice that we’ve admired for a long time,” said Dean DeLeo. “We know Linkin Park will always be his priority, but we thought it would be cool to try something together. We managed to find the time to record a song and we’re all really happy with the result.” “I’ve loved STP since I was 13 years old and they’ve had a huge influence on me,” explained Bennington. “When the opportunity came up to do something creative with them, I jumped at the chance. Rob and Kristen will live in the same house for the sake of their dogs
 Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have called it quits...for now. A source tells E! News the Twilight stars broke up Saturday, after more than three years of dating. Stew is "heartbroken" and "so sad" over the break-up. "They are going to stay living at Kristen's house because of the dogs," the source continued. "It's not fully over or he would have moved out."
After proving they could make it through a rough patch after Kristen cheated on R.Patz with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, the couple looked like they were back on for good, doing everything from celebrating Kristen's 23rd birthday to attending Coachella and spending time together in New York, where Kristen attended the Met Gala. Star Trek Into Darkness Falls Short of Box Office Expectations, Earns 70.6 Million
Star Trek Into Darkness has soared into the light. The J.J. Abrams sci-fi sequel rocked this weekend's box office, landing in the top spot with $70.6 million. Although the film fell short of expectations of a $90 million plus weekend, it did manage to end Iron Man 3's three-week reign at No.1, pushing the action flick to the second spot at $35.2 million.And in spite of a lower box office total, Iron Man 3 is still doing phenomenal, considering it has officially passed the billion-dollar worldwide mark. So well, that it has become the second highest-grossing comic book film of all time, preceded by The Avengers.Meanwhile, The Great Gatsby and Pain & Gain followed in the fourth and fifth spots with $23.4 million and $3.1 million respectively.  Police were called to a science fiction convention after an argument between two rival groups of fans. Trouble flared at the fourth Norwich Sci-Fi and Film Convention at the University of East Anglia, organised by Norwich Star Wars Club.  Several gossip websites are reporting that arch Teen Mom rivals Farrah Abraham and Jenelle Evans are going to star in a Big Brother-like TV show for MTV. “The special would focus on dissecting and repairing the relationships between the reality stars and their mothers. Sean Penn In Talks For ‘Inherent Vice'
 With its huge cast of 20+ characters, "Inherent Vice" is shaping up to be PTA's most star-studded effort since "Magnolia" back in 1999. After that film, PTA's ensembles began to feature a few stars at the center supported by less recognizable faces, eschewing his '90s ensemble of players for performers who could lend his films a more grounded realism. (PDL: Sandler + Watson, TWBB: Day-Lewis + Dano, The Master: Phoenix + Hoffman + Adams.) But after three features in that mode, his latest appears to be another left turn, with star after star joining the project. Let's run down the cast so far: Joaquin Phoenix, Owen Wilson, Benicio Del Toro, Reese Witherspoon, Jena Malone, Martin Short and Kevin O'Connor. Though its likely the remainder of the roles have been locked for weeks, PTA and co. have been keeping any official announcements completely under wraps. So in lieu of a press release, we've had to do a little digging and come back with some pretty huge news.We first heard the whispers online and have now gotten word from a source close to production that Sean Penn may be joining the film in an as-yet-undisclosed role. If we were to take a guess, we'd say it's likely Penn is being targeted for Adrian Prussia, a powerful loan shark known to get violent when not compensated properly. This is especially exciting news for those longtime C&RV readers who will remember that Penn was originally supposed to play the role of Dean Trumbell in "Punch-Drunk Love" with Philip Seymour Hoffman and John C. Reilly originally slated to play two of the brothers. But Penn was forced to drop out of the film, Hoffman took the role and a PTA-Penn collaboration had to be put on hold for a decade. SOURCE |

Aaliyah Is Rolling In Her Grave Right Now...
Chris Brown is calling on an angel for his new single, “They Don’t Know.” The R&B superstar has announced that Aaliyah will be featured on the follow-up to “Fine China.” The song contains never-before-heard vocals from the late singer. “I got something special for my fans. It’s called ‘They Don’t Know,’” Chris told reporters at the BET Awards 2013 press conference on Tuesday. “All new stuff that’s never been heard before.” He shot a video for the song in L.A. over the weekend. “I shot it in the ‘hood. I went to 60th Street and Cedar Block,” he said, while explaining the concept. “[I'm] bringing both worlds together and trying to uplift the poverty side of the community and show them where I’m from. I’m from Virginia, but everybody comes from a broken home or being broke—I remember when I was.” “They Don’t Know” will appear on Chris’ sixth album X, due July 16. American Hustle Candids from NYC featuring Adams, Bale, Cooper, Huston, and Renner
Christian Bale has transformed himself from muscular Batman into a paunchy and balding con man for the upcoming movie American Hustle.  The 35-year-old English actor was spotted in New York City shooting scenes for the crime drama set in the 1970s. The film by director David O. Russell has an all-star cast that includes Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Adams, Robert DeNiro, Bradley Cooper and Jeremy Renner. Bale portrays con artist Melvin Weinberg who was hired by the FBI to help run the sting operation. He and his partner, portrayed by Adams, are forced to work with the feds (Cooper) in tracking down other cons, mobsters and corrupt politicians. The filming on Saturday also included Renner, who plays the corrupt and volatile mayor of Camden, New Jersey.  January Jones, out of the pearls and sweater sets she wears as Betty Draper Francis on “Mad Men,” as herself at the NoMad hotel. It isn’t easy to coax a smile out of January Jones. Perched on a velveteen banquette at the NoMad hotel in the Flatiron district recently, Ms. Jones didn’t engage in the dithery banter that in Hollywood passes for charm. What she offered instead was a credible impersonation of Betty Draper Francis, the sweet and sullen character she plays in “Mad Men,” the role that has turned her into an emblem of glamour as wintry as her name.She was dressed down in a T-shirt, hoodie and fashionably shredded MiH jeans. But easygoing as she appeared, you could be forgiven for confusing Ms. Jones with her starchy alter ego, the immaculate Hitchcock blonde married early in the series to the philandering Don Draper, then to Henry Francis, the small-town politician who rescues her from a life of lies. Certainly, viewers seem perplexed. They conflate the actress with her role, argues Natasha Vargas-Cooper, a pop-culture historian and the author of “Mad Men Unbuttoned: A Romp Through 1960s America” — maybe because of the intimacy of TV. “She is in our living rooms,” Ms. Vargas-Cooper said in a telephone interview, “and that just brings up a lot of unsettling feelings.” Indeed, viewers tend to ascribe to Ms. Jones the chilly detachment, questionable judgment and unsteady nerves that haunt and define Betty Francis.
