Andrew Wells is the brother of Tucker Wells, the person who tried to ruin his year's senior prom by unleashing a pack of Hell Hounds on the partygoers after being turned down for a date. Andrew follows in his brother's footsteps in that he too is also a grade A nerd. He found company with his fellow nerds Warren Meers and Jonathan Levinson with his claim to fame being that he unleashed a group of winged monkey demons during one school play.

Together with his two fellow nerds, Andrew attempted to become one of a troika of criminal overlords in Sunnydale as well as possibly getting laid. Their attempts ranged from the highly hilarious to the downright pathetic and they were more of a nuisance than anything else until the day that Warren killed his former girlfriend, Katrina, in a fit of rage and cast them all into the roles of a murderer and his accomplices. It was at this time that Warren and Andrew began to shut Jonathan out of their plans as they began to realise that his commitment wasn't always there. It can also be seen that Andrew began to stick to Warren even more as time went by. Whether this is because of some latent homosexual desire or whether he is just naturally submissive to a strong leader is unclear but he always believed, even when arrested for an attempted heist, that Warren would come from him. After Warren murdered Tara Maclay during an attempt to kill Buffy, Willow Rosenberg came hunting for all three of them. Along with Jonathan, Andrew escaped and was last seen heading for the Mexican border.

Returning from Mexico, Andrew and Jonathan had been having horrible nightmares regarding some type of symbol in the newly rebuilt Sunnydale High School's basement. Andrew had been lead secretly by what he thought was the ghost of his best friend, and former troika leader, Warren Meers. Following orders from this fake imitation Warren (who was secretly The First), he killed his other friend Jonathan in order to spill his blood for the opening of a mystical evil seal. Though from a run in with Williow, he willingly surrendered for fear of his own life (thinking that Willow was still evil). Spending his time with the Scooby Gang, he was tied up at the begining, then gradually he was released and sort of became an honorary member of the group. Helping out in many ways as he could. Joining Buffy, Spike, Xander, Anya, Willow, Giles, Faith, Principle Wood, and the rest of the Potential Slayers in the final chapter of the battle against The First Evil.

Today, after the distruction of Sunnydale and the closing of the Hellmouth, Andrew has moved on to a life he thought he'd never have. Since the final battle, there's been thousands of Slayers awoken (from the spell Willow cast to activate all the other Slayers amongst the world), and Andrew has been recuited by Rupert Giles as a 'Watcher In Training' to help him track and gather up the active Slayers. As of late, he was sent off to Los Angeles to collect another Slayer. Having a run in with Angel and his band of lawyers at the evil law firm Wolfram & Hart, he wasn't given too much trouble taking in to custody a tortured and troubled Slayer that was found in a mental hospital. Since then, nothing is known on the existance of Andrew.

Though what is more interesting, is the untold past of Andrew Wells. Living amongst the town of Sunnydale his whole life, there starts his story... his saga... his legacy.
