1. Would you do meth if it was legalized?
No. Never. I read this question at first as should it be legalized. Morning, no coffee the end. I do think it should be legalized though.
If our medical system has to bear the burnt of paying for the people who get fucked up on the stuff they might as well be the ones making the 'profit' so to speak.

For the record I don't do drugs. I despise drugs for the most part but clearly the current approach is not working.

Last week Dr. Henry Morgentaler Canada's most notorious 'abortion' doctor received the order of Canada. There is a lot of uproar over the fact. But the man has long been an activists for the woman's right to choose and at his own personal peril. I think people who use abortions for birth control in this day and age where so many alternative are available are morons. I doubt I'd ever personally choose to have the procedure. But I do beleive it should be readily, easily and cheaply available for those who want to use it.

3. Would our country fall with a woman president?
My country Canada didn't fall apart with a female Prime Minister even though her term in office was so blessed short. But given I gakked this from an American...*grin* newsflash the country is already falling apart... it's no more or less likely to fall harder under the leadership of either gender.

4. Do you believe in the death penalty?
I do.

5. Do you wish marijuana would be legalized already?
See above. Yes along with prostitution and other vices.

6. Are you for or against premarital sex?
No. But I think adults should engage in sex and not children. It disturbs me to no end the idea of 11-15 year olds engaging in sex.

7. Do you believe in God?
Yes.
And I think he loathes organized religion as much as I do.

8. Do you think same sex marriage should be legalized?
Yes.

9. Do you think it's wrong that so many Hispanics are moving to the USA?
I have no idea how many Hispanics are moving to the US. Are we talking illegal moving to the US? If they are illegal moves than yeah I guess that's wrong.

10. A 12-year-old girl has a baby... should she keep it?
Clearly this should be determined on a case by case basis. If a child wants to and has the support system of her family....why not.

11. Should the alcohol age be lowered to 18?
In Canada it is 19...in the US it is what 21? I think it is absolutely absurd that young people can sign up to fight a war and endanger their lives that way but not be allowed to drink.

12. Should the war in Iraq be called off?
I do not know. I've tuned out that war for a while. It does not seem particularly winnable at this rate so I am not sure what the point is.

13. Assisted suicide is illegal... do you agree that it should be?
Hell no.
Not a good question to ask a person who is getting a front seat to several terminal illnesses in the past few years. I do believe though that it has to be pretty damn clear that is what the patient wanted.

14. Do you believe in spanking your children?
Yes. But I've never done it. *grin* I've swatted the boy on the behind one or two quick smacks. (that is not spanking IMO)
i do not believe in 'hitting' your children. And I choose not to spank because of my own very negative experience with it as a child. I think it can cross a line if people do not use common sense.

15. Are you afraid others will judge you from reading some of your answers?
No.
If they do so what. *grin*

On a day like any other I decided to barbeque burgers. Yum. Turn the gas on, click the starter...nadda. Hmmm... open the unit sniff don;t smell gas but whatever. Hit the clicker again. Whooooooooooooooooooooooooosh. Damn those flames kissed my cheek. Let's not do that again.

So later as we are eating I keep thinking I smelling something burning.

AP: What is in your hair?

Me: Huh? Is there a bug in my hair. (I am paranoid about bugs getting caught in my hair)

AP: I dunno what is it.

me: You need to tell me now before I strangle you. What is ittttttttt?

AP; Something.

I toddle off tot he bathroom look in the mirror and see nothing.

me: What are you talking about?

AP: Your hair looks weird around your ear.

I touch it and clumps of fried, singed hair fall into my hand. An hour later and I'm stiill digging singed hair out. it has the weirdest smell.

My advice to you is...hair and gas barbeques...are not BBFs. Stay away from big fiery whooshes.

Well....I got a theme. It's so very me. So far I've written five of those buggers on what? Black widow spiders.

You know what I hate? Making plans. Waiting all weekend and then waking up at 5am with a hellya bitch from hell earache. By 8am the pain was so intense the painkillers might as well have been sugar...but by 8:10 the drum perforated. Some relief. About five hours later it started leaking blood which is just gross. It's still bleeding tonight but the pain is manageable without painkillers. Overall this day has been the suckage. *whine*

I am still loving writing class and the Prof gave me some great information this week which made me deliriously happy.

I was reading til 2 am. I love love love a story that can sneak in a twist that makes my jaw drop. It topped out somewhere over 500 pages and once I got going I had a difficult time putting it down. Two narrators were used to tell the story and I quite enjoyed that approach.

Waters has a way of sucking you in and not letting go. Tipping the Velvet by design had a lot of sex, this one not so much. (my only complaint...one other scene would have made me perfectly happy thanks)

The plot was both simple and complicated. It's set in London in the late 1800s I believe and this one had an interesting array of delightfully flawed characters...and it had a mad house. A mad mad mad house. Which was both disturbing and just delightful.

Anyone catch the series... Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Kris? It's got Headey as the lead. I caught a glimpse at the second eppy and she is the gorgeous and so I stopped watching because it seems a bit complicated and dl both eppys to watch this weekend.

So got a call from mes partner in all things deviance. She made it to Bangor about 90 minutes ago and like me she is melting. It's freaking hot today.

The plan?

Leave Sussex at 6;30- 7:00 tomorrow. Arrive in Bangor around 10-11. Pick up the Brain, go to Staples and get Kiss of the Damn printed off. Then go to the grocery store and buy some foodies and then Lubec. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

No root canal

I'm suppose to get one of my bottom molars crowned it broke earlier this summer. When my dentist took an x-ray he saw something on the root that made him go hmmm, so I got sent to a root canal specialist. Good news is the tooth is fine no canal needed. Woot. The crown can proceed.
