Tim and I went to a diner earlier and when we were leaving, he insisted on playing Thriller on his iPhone. So I said fine, but I'm going to sit here and not drive until it's over and I can actually put my CD player on. So we were chilling for a minute, and also it was pouring out, lightning and thundering and everything, and all of a sudden we see a white dog pass in front of the car, and we're like what the hell a dog?? So he opens the passenger side door to look for it, and the dog is right there next to the door and jumps right in! We look at each other like 'uuuhhhh' and we're like what do we do about this?? We checked her tags and it had her name, Sage, and home address, so he used the GPS function on his phone to find the house, which was right down the road. So I drove there, Tim has the dog on his lap, and he gets out to knock on the door while I watched her so she'd freak out less, because she was scared of the storm. No one answered, so he called the cops to see if they could do anything, they knocked and said the owner's other car was gone so they must be out somewhere or on vacation or something. Apparently the dog gets out all the time, the cop said she jumps out the window.

So I tell the cop I might be able to keep her at my house overnight and he took my information down, because there was no way we were gunna let her stay at a pound. I called my house but no dice. Tim's parents wouldn't let her stay at their house because they already have three dogs, and so they'd all go insane with another dog in the house. He couldn't get in contact with his friend who works at an animal shelter, so we had to cage her at the police station overnight. She really didn't want to go though, and she was basically fighting Tim when he was trying to pick her up to bring her inside the place. She's so cute, she looks like a cocker spaniel and greyhound mix, and she's all white with some little brown spots and has a big spot around her one eye area.
Update - her owners picked her up from the police station.
