a chickpea a day keeps the diabetes away

in our breakroom at work there's a bulletin board with all these prevention posters for diseases/sicknesses. there's a diabetes one(there always is) and i thought it was strange to see being asian american or pacific islander increases the chances of being diagnosed. that on top of both of my parent's high blood pressure, my mom's type 2 and my dad's heart trouble is bad news bears.

so lately i've been cutting back on my sugar, carbs, and gluten in general. it's actually not hard; there are lots of foods that come gluten-free, and it isn't too hard to avoid. no idea if it has effected(affected?) me health-wise. it's been a nice placebo if nothing else; i've felt better about myself. i can only hope it keeps my blood pressure/cholesterol down too! and yeah, psh, i'm young, but my mom was young when she became diabetic, and i don't want to die earlier than age 50, and neither should you!

so be healthy!

try it! try it if you don't want to diiiie!

i don't do crap on my days off, lol.

Yeah, if I go out too often on the weekends, I'll start to get tired. Sometimes I just need a couple days to decompress.
