show last night was a lot of fun. it would've been even better if i didn't feel like absolute crap near the end, thanks to too much booze, some mystery illness or something else. i'm leaning toward the latter, since i'm still feeling crappy. but it was great anyway.
i went with my brother and chee. it was at the phoenix, a venue i don't go to often. the last time i went there was to see mxpx in 2003, again with chee, and again with a mystery stomach ache. i'm seeing a pattern here. but yeah, the main thing i like about it is how it's a fairly big venue in size, but still pretty intimate. the bands were all hanging out in the merch room for most of the time, or could be seen in the audience.
more info and pictures ( after the jump. )

feeling embarrassed about a relationship or being in love with somebody after it's all over? That sickly humiliation of knowing how clingy and hung up you were on a person?

| devil devil fucking go away my soul is an i.o.u. |

As of this moment at 12:36 a.m. on Tuesday September 2nd of 2008 I have a nasty creeping feeling that I am wasting my money in art school. Perhaps that's just the stress (talking) of me being a dumbass and the stress of 16-18 hour days and the stress of my exhibition in less than a month and me being broke and my sudden complete lack of any creative ideas whatsoever, etc. This shit is making me feel seasick. I have absolutely no temperament anymore and I hate more than I enjoy. Maybe I am fucking burned out.

what are some of the saddest songs you have ever heard?
|
|
| cuddle and wear sweaters |
[27 Aug 2008|03:16pm] |

bike riding, apple picking, corn buying, scarf and sweater wearing, guitar playing by a lake, leaf falling, loveless sex having, hay-ride taking, haunted house going, crush finding, season changing, bonfire making, excessive cuddling, new school attending, risk playing songs. (you know, having a grand time in this lovely point of the year)
(okay, I don't want songs about that stuff, per say, but songs that would go well with all of those things.)
sufjan seems to work great with this, but any other suggestions?

| Reggae Love Mix |
[26 Aug 2008|12:13pm] |
This might be a long shot because I don't know how many of you are into reggae but I'll give it a try..
I'm making a love/goodbye mix for the boy I love but can't be with anymore because I'm moving away for college. We dated for almost 4 years and we're both fat stoners so I want it to be reggae and love filled. Here's what I have so far, please suggest other stuff! (it doesn't HAVE to be reggae, but should hopefully be nice to listen to while high)
1. Kinky Reggae - Bob Marley 2. I Would Do For You - Slightly Stoopid 3. Feeling Alright - Rebelution 4. Santeria - Sublime 5. Ain't That Right - G. Love & Special Sauce 6. Bowl For Two - The Expendables 7. Is This Love? - Bob Marley 8. What I Got - Sublime 9. Running - Rebelution 10. There For You - Damian Marley 11. Waiting in Vain - Bob Marley 12. What I know - Rebelution 13. I'm Yours - Jason Mraz 14. Here Comes The Sun - Peter Tosh

| Why Did We Ever Meet? |
[24 Aug 2008|10:22pm] |
Why Did We Ever Meet?(songs for the end of a summer filled with watching vampire movies, going to drive-ins, playing board games, sex with friends, ska concerts, sitting on front porches and talking until 6am, cigarettes, thousands of card games, wearing dresses, waking up early to go to denny's, working, cuddling, and everything in between.)
