What are you up the the 22nd? There is an MSU meeting (Mass Students Uniting) and it would be awesome if some people would like to come with.. It starts at 6 at UMass Boston

They will be doing bylaws but there is also an extravagant afterparty, and a ride back to Lowell, should anyone want to hang at Lowell, or forgot something, I dunno?

Current Music: Hope Of Deliverance - Paul McCartney

Nothing is objective, there is no true stability, no one law, no complete system, no answer. The concepts of infinity apply to an infinite amount of the aspects of the elements of reality.

But that lack of stability, the lack of absolutes and the truth that there is no truly objective concept in existence(s) is what makes shit so damn interesting.

If there was dependent form(s) of stability we would not be able to encounter the full facet of life. Experience would become tampered with and in lacking instability a piece of our own lives would be absent and mute; unevoked.

Life is beautiful because there is experience, there exists the ability to experience (infinite) reality: good, bad, determined, confused, love, hate, passion, and apathy... Grasping the idea of being able to experience life with all its parts, and the complexity, and potential in all degrees of emotion to engage, meet, suffer, and enjoy is what makes existence beautiful.

Accepting these essentials and realizations of existence and experience I've been able to be much more "chill" when it comes to the bad and unstable, knowing that it is all a part of my experience of reality comforts me in a romantic and personally intimate way.

Perhaps we can find a form of stability in knowing that life is unstable. There is an integrity in life being able to shake us to our cores.

Please let us be able to enjoy the times that are enjoyable without it being stained by the knowledge that there will be times of sorrow and suffering. Let us have suffering and sorrow knowing that it completes the spectrum of our lives, justifying ourselves as beings of: experience, not stability, and beauty, not restriction.

We always have tomorrow; and until we don't we shall live our lives, experiencing our phenomenon.

Current Mood: busyOccupied
Current Music: Invincible - OK Go

Yeah, way too many papers. Was able to sneak in a few hours of sleep here and there though, so I am not going to be going insane or anything cool like that. It is looking like I will be home Monday evening-ish since it will take me about that long to finish all of these papers. I really think I should print them all out and keep them in a binder and just flop it down the kitchen table at home when I return.

Life has been good out here, kinda strange to think that I won't be on campus soon. Aside from writing papers this week I have been living the life of a politician. Going to a different banquet, meeting, or event each day:

Also Iron Man is an awesome Movie, he knows how to handle ass holes:

Current Music: New Soul - Yael

Lately I've been busy as balls with school and all the activities out here. It is starting to show with cool position titles. I am now Mr. Chairman for the communication committee, which gives me a seat on EBoard. Mike, the guy who was going to be my VP is also a committee chair. Which means next year we will be a very solid ticket for the election (providing he still wants to stick with me).

Finals are coming up, which means I will be writing about 120 pages of papers and reading (or intensely looking through for a few nights) about 5 books. Can't wait to not sleep for a week again.

I've also been left pondering what I would do with my life if I had all the time I wanted to do everything that interests me. Things like writing, working out, getting involved in relationships, chilling with friends, and trying new and random activities / exploring at night have taken a bit of a back seat to all the other things going on. I still love all these things in my life, but it seems I am reaching a critical mass point. Hopefully summer will allow time enough to explore these aspects of life, (along with time enough to make money to come back to school, damn financial dependencies). God knows there are a lot of ideas and books I want to entertain, not to mention some free time for a date would be nice.

Anyway, I'll be off to the next project and leave the LJ drama to the pros. I suppose I'll see you later ~_^

Current Music: Terminator 2 Theme - Brad Fiedel

I want to spend my summertime getting rid of an unjust law, government group, or policy. I want to take more action and be able to see the impact. I self identify as an activist, for a year now at school I have been the cog, it is past time I do something more in line with the active thoughts I support and admire.

The only thing left is for me to pick which cause I fight for first. I have learned that having the support of my peers is a great way to begin a motion for change and progress, so I ask you all, what is an issue we can stand behind and fight for or against?

To brain storm:
Censorship, 1st amendment impingements, the FCC, possible "free speech zone" protest.
The War (duh)
War on Drugs (duh)
Gay rights, the federal government and most states do not honor gay marriages.

Completed another all nighter to write up a paper. This one was about the book 'When the Nazis Came to Skokie.' If you want to read it click hereCollapse ), you know you want to. As a side, anyone know how to just post the file for download instead of having to copy-pasta here?

After getting a good night sleep, for the first time since Monday, (Had 6-9 hrs total from Monday-late Friday) I am feeling good again. I've also got another crafty plan of attack for this political mess. To Scituate peoples, I am back in town this weekend, what's up?

Current Mood: annoyedannoyed
Please let it be known that I as well as the Connector am sorry for the misprint in the paper. An editor of mine had changed the title without thinking into something less than respectful. We are sorry to the Spectrum club as well as Lesléa Newman.

The Connector should be fixing the issue with the article on the website. Unfortunately we can not replace all the papers on campus, but there should be a re-print type thing in the next Connector outlining this mistake.

I would like to stress that the title used in the Connector is not my words and it should not be written as such.
The article as I wrote it in the Connector.Collapse )
