Background Profile
Relationships: I tend to keep my close friendships within the Hufflepuff house. However, there can be some exceptions. And just because I do not consider certain individuals as my close friends does not mean I consider them my enemy (excluding Slytherins and the like).
History:

In the years before he attended Hogwarts, Zacharias was just your normal, average little boy. Well, except for the fact that his mother was a wizard... And the fact that he asked too many questions... And the-- Well, you know what I mean. He was just as curious as all little boys normally were, wondering why certain things happen and how certain things came to be.

When he first arrived at Hogwarts, Zacharias was sorted into the house of Hufflepuff. Though many students sniggered toward his way when the Sorting Hat shouted out its decision, Zacharias felt a feeling of satisfaction. After all, he was placed in the house where loyalty and honesty were in its prime. As he was true to his friends and would often speak his mind regardless of the consequences that would subside, there was no other place that was better for him.

Zacharias was the typical Hufflepuff for his first four years at Hogwarts. He pretty much isolated himself from members other houses and kept within the Hufflepuff boundaries, socializing with only those of his own house while he disregarded the others. In his second year, he drew himself further apart from the other houses after Harry Potter appeared to have set a snake on Justin Finch-Fletchley, another Hufflepuff boy.

There was no change in his relationships with the other houses in his fourth year. Though the Triwizard Tournament had been re-established to bring members of the other houses closer together in support of their champion, it didn't do much. If anything, the Triwizard Tournament separated the Hufflepuffs and the Gryffindors even more. Dumbledore gave them no explanation as to why Harry emerged from the third task with the dead body of Cedric Diggory, Hufflepuff's Quidditch captain, over his shoulder. It wasn't until his fifth year that Zacharias started to converse freely with members of the other houses.

In his fifth year at Hogwarts, the lines that separated the Hufflepuffs from Ravenclaw and Gryffindor started to blur as the students shared a strong dislike for their Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Delores Umbridge. While sitting at the Hufflepuff table during breakfast, one of the Gryffindor girls came over with a proposition that requested that they would be present at the Hog's Head for a meeting to discuss the situation at hand.

Being a nosy little Hufflepuff, Zacharias overheard the conversation and insisted that he come along. Like many other students, Zacharias intended to attend the meeting to find out what really happened at the end of the Triwizard Tournament. During that meeting, the other houses finally got to see Zacharias for who he truly was: ~~an analytical prat~~ a very curious boy.

Zacharias hadn't changed much since his fifth year; He still bombards others with questions as he tries to get to the bottom of things. However, he's much more ~~mature~~ wiser than ever before.
