I keep promising myself I'll update livejournal when I get a chance, yet when I finally get that chance I realize that there's exponentially more stuff to write about because I've put it off. So I put it off more.

I'll sum up the last year in this way: it's good to finally arrive at the place you've worked your entire life to be. Love, success and true happiness is finally mine.

My pal Alyssa asks me out on a 'man-date' last Friday, and we sported our finest menswear and corresponding facial hair.

But when we rocked up to the other side of downtown to pick up our two, similarly gender-confuser friends, the unprecedented happened...

There, at the top of the stairs, was a sizable percentage of my LA massive, in moustaches, launching balloons into space and shouting 'Surprise!' at me.

I think I probably stood there in shock for about an hour before they all got me drunk enough to come blubber at them about how awesome they were. They'd all pitched in and got me around 10 boxes of Franzia, too! It was truly like a baby shower. But with more BEARDS.

I am so, so fortunate to have such amazing friends (on both sides of the pond, at that!). Most of you guys aren't on LJ, but to those who are...thank you so much. It is seriously one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me :)

My summer so far

Bedded up with a flu (2nd time in three months? BAH).

So how's about an update?

*scratches head*

3 music videos, 1 world tour, 4 magazines, 1 new collection, 2 reality TV shows, 4 new ninjas giving me a hand and generally being totally awesome, website on its way (for real), meetings with production team (yes, you will soon be able to buy my crap), the most awesome clients ever who keep me busy with really fun and fulfilling work.

And about four hours sleep altogether. Bring it.

Oh, and I haven't done a shoot of my own in eight months now. Not good. Working on that, too. It's my favourite part of the job :)

Caught up financially (and then some) after The Great Shafting of 2009 (and massive thanks to everyone who helped me back on my feet and gave me a shoulder to blubber on). You live and learn, over and onward. No regrets :)

When I came to England in December it was with a very important mission and I resolved the things I needed to. I feel better about my work, my relationships and my life than I ever have. During the melee of Dubai-gate and the year of unprecedented general horribleness that followed I learned two very important things:

1. to appreciate the fact that I actually have really quite the epic life and
2. I can survive bloody anything

When Diz got out of prison, I likened it to an 80's movie ending. I suppose now I kinda have one of my very own. Wait until you see the sequel, it's got wizards and ninjas and sharks and impromptu break dancing.
