Really good piece, although I have to say I was quite amused that people are still struggling to find any more pictures of him!!

Any news on how he's holding up?

That boy hates having his photo taken. I struggled to find one where he wasn't giving the horns or making a sulky face.
No news from him, I will probably speak to him on Monday when he visits the lawyer (calling from prison is virtually impossible).

For a long time after I first got my tongue pierced it was nigh-on impossible to take a photo of me without me throwing the horns and sticking my tongue out!

wow, that's excellent coverage..! Trust the good ol' Aussies to care enough for an expat.

Reminds me that when a friend of mine went missing in India, Israeli authorities could give a flying fuck above the bare minimum support they are required to give, while the Australian embassy went out of their way to help with money and support and arranging a search party etc. - and he'd never even lived there as an adult.

Post forthcoming. We're still waiting for him to be released. At this point only the charges have been dropped, and we anticipate he'll be out in approximately an hour.
