solitude de massacre.
|dob| Irrelevant. In fact, he barely remembers it anymore, although he thinks it may have been sometime during September. Some vampires date him back to the 1400s, others date him back even further. Philippe can hardly remember what the world was like when he was human, nevermind his birthday.
|sexuality| Asexual, although he will seduce a woman if need arises. Sex no longer means anything to him.
|personality| Philippe is suave, seductive, hypnotizing, coldhearted -- all the qualities of an Old vampire. Because he is so old, he has lost all humanity and is void of all human emotion. He cares not for anyone -- unless, of course, you are valuable to him in some way. He will use anyone to get his way; he is very influential and persuasive, as all older vampires are. He is persistent and relentless; if there is something he wants, he will ruthlessly do whatever it takes to acquire it.
|appearance| Philippe is tall, with pale blue eyes and light brown hair. He sticks with current trends; most currently he can be seen wearing a t-shirt, blazer and bluejeans. Despite his age, he has learned to mask his true appearance and blemishes. He appears to be in his late twenties, early thirties to the average human or younger vampire, but vampires and other beings near his age aren't fooled by his façade.

|history| The farthest back into his history that Philippe can remember is his days during the 1700s, when he lived in France, although even that memory is fading. He keeps a journal now, writing down everything so as not to forget his past.
During the French Revolution, Philippe ran a harem of female vampires. He used this organization to lure in weary soldiers fighting in the war. The harem remained his and his clan's feeding grounds for over a century, until the townsfolk caught on (perhaps he was betrayed?) and burned it down during the day, killing nearly all of his sired Children and clanmates. Philippe fled the country with his Daughter Colette and remaining clanmate Jean-Pierre, and settled in Spain.
The trio remained hidden, keeping individual human prisoners for nourishment. Little by little, Philippe began to build a new clan consisting of Spanish vampires, who -- besides being slightly different from the French vampires -- were loyal and good clanmates. During all of this, Jean-Pierre and Colette became closer. They hunted together, fed together, and rested together. Philippe became jealous; for once it had been he and Colette who had shared all of these things. A decade after they had migrated to Spain, Jean-Pierre and Colette announced they would be returning to France to build their own clan.
Philippe, outraged, refused to let them leave. He attempted to reclaim Colette by forcing her to drink his blood and forbidding her from telling Jean-Pierre, threatening to kill the other male vampire if she told. When Jean-Pierre discovered what he thought to be her betrayal, he alerted the Spanish townsfolk, using mindcontrol, and bade them to destroy Philippe and his Colette. (Déja vu?)
Once again Philippe watched his clan and Children burn, and this time he watched his most favored Childe burn with it. Philippe fled to the United States, taking shelter in New Orleans.
For the last century Philippe has lived a quiet and solitary life in the States. He has made connections with powerful beings, and thus has lived a comfortable -- if not wealthy -- life. He wasn't exactly Called to New York; Philippe had always wanted to see the city but had never gotten around to it. His intentions aren't too clear.
Philippe has not heard of Jean-Pierre in the last century, and so assumes him to be dead. Since Colette's death, Philippe has sired many others but has refused to take them under his wing.
|other| Due to his nomadic lifestyle, Philippe is fluent in English, Spanish, and French. Because he is an older vampire, he has mastered the use of his mind control and hypnosis. He uses these to help influence those around him -- humans and younger vampires and beings alike. He could be considered a master vampire, although he has never been Master of a city.
He has an obsession for word-searches. If he is stressed out or angry or has just fed, he will sit and do several of them.
hold me like you held onto life
when all fears came alive and entombed me
love me like you loved the sun
scorching the blood in my vampire heart
