“Loral I knew and I have always loved you as well. I would never put you in a position where you were uncomfortable or where you had doubts. You’re the only woman I trust with not only my work, but with me.” Loral’s emerald green eyes filmed over with tears, and her heart felt like it was going to break into a million little pieces. Would she lose him now if she told him no? Bruce raised his hand up to Loral’s face and gently directed her to his lips. From that moment, Bruce had slowly pulled away. “Loral, I will find some other way to have this species become possible, I would never want to risk your life, and there are risks that I don’t even know about.” Loral closed your eyes, “Bruce, I know the importance of the work we do, and I'm willing to try. Let me think about it. Bruce had loved this woman from the day she proved herself and intelligent scientist. Even if Loral’s answer was no, he would make Loral his. Bruce leaned over to Loral, gave her a hug, and whispered, “Loral, no matter what, I still want you in my life.” Bruce then stood up leaving Loral on the couch with a mix of joy, despair and sadness on her face.
