I was watching the Kill Bill Volume 2 trailer just now and it reminded me of this brilliant piece by Ennio Morricone (featured at the beginning and end of the trailer). The ending gives me goosebumps. :D

Update
So I've been facebooking more often lately. I finally changed my name to my own name. I don't know why I never had it the real way anyway. I learned how to actually use the site, which is nifty.
I do like it better than myspace, definitely, even if it's almost the same thing with less of a ghetto feel.
"First Train Home", the first single from Imogen Heap's new upcoming album Ellipse is really just beautiful. I know I already posted about it, but it has fueled my excitement for the new record.( In fact, if you click here, you can listen to it after the cut! )
And with that all said and ... embedded, I hope everyone is doing fine. Really. I do. I know things sometimes will get bad, and then they get worse than bad. But, they do become okay eventually. And think. They become even better than okay sometimes.
To be able to make it through the waves of "okay" and "bad" just means you're human. It's something I need to remind myself of every now and then.

So, I've mentioned how smart my 8 year old nephew is before, but wow, he's going to start taking classes from Stanford University. That's right. I said STANFORD UNIVERSITY!

My mouth feels all floppity right now. I just had a root canal and I guess it was successful? I have never had one of those before, so I'm just going to see how it is after the numbness goes away.
I am glad that I finally got it done though. My poor tooth was just falling apart. Next month, I get the crown and a cleaning. So yay, good teethy times.

I found out that one of the nicest people I've met in my life passed away today. The thing is, I was never close to her, but she had this way of making you feel like you were so important whenever you saw her in person. Like, she just lit up in a way I can't quite describe. And since I wasn't close to her, I can only imagine how she was with her best friends and family. They must have adored and loved her dearly.
This is incredibly sad, and I'm pretty shocked. People like Beth just make me want to be a nicer person. I only have good memories of her. I know there some of you on my friends list that were extremely close to her, and my condolences to each of you and to her family.

I love films like The Iron Giant, where the movie is more than just a big ball of special effects and mindless comedy. Up is one of those films.
It's definitely my favorite Disney-Pixar film, by far!

Hrm.. really? That's it?
I am, by no means, an iPhone hater. Though I didn't really appreciate my iPhone breaking in just a little over a year, I still really enjoyed it for some of its features and what-not. But, I think people are beginning to confuse the term "revolutionary" with the term "popular". Having video on a phone is not revolutionary. It won't change the way phones are. They've had this perk for quite a while, actually. The phone I have right now has video recording, etc, capabilities. The phone I had before my iPhone had the same thing. The one before that one.. guess what?? Same thing. So, to call it revolutionary is a bit of a stretch.
It's just a popular phone and now it has a popular feature that it probably should have had at its launch, not that I would have used it. For some reason having a phone these days means having about 20 extra features you won't ever use.
Now get me a phone that will mow the lawn. That would be revolutionary. I cannot wait for that trend.

Aww, man.
I just had a bunch of maintenance done on my car on Saturday and now it's leaking something.. I think it's water. But, still, nothing should be leaking, right? I mean, I'm not fluent in car, but I do know enough to know that this isn't normal.
Now I have to leave work early with no pay and take it back to the place I had work on it to see what's up.
Why does everything I touch turn to crap lately? lol
At least I have everything caught up at work.
Another thing is that there's something wrong with my jaw. It's been happening for some time now, but whenever I laugh too much or I've eaten, the right side of my jaw hurts so excruciatingly awful and piercing that I lose track of everything else. Last night, I was on WoW, raiding with others, and it happened and I swear, I wiped the group a couple times because I just couldn't concentrate on healing because there was so much pain. It took me about 30 minutes or so not moving my mouth at all to make the pain go away. I need to get this checked out, definitely.
On the plus side, we've cleared everything in 10-man Ulduar except for 3 bosses (4, if you're counting Algalon. I have a feeling we'll never see him though, so I like to think he doesn't exist). I hate the Mimiron encounter. It doesn't even feel like a real boss. Whyyyy is it sooo difficult?? hehe
Otherwise, It's safe to say that Xtoferal is a very well geared tree now. :D

We're famous!
At least on Wow.com (formerly Wowinsider.com), our guild got recognition in the site's screen-shot of the day "Around Azeroth" post. Yay Erik for putting us on the map by sending this picture in.

I need a computer nerd, pronto!
K, calling all computer nerds, I need your attention!
WoW was starting to not work properly the other night. The animation on other players was choppy. At first I thought it was lag, but I came to the conclusion that I thought it was my graphics card, which is the ATI Radeon HD 4850. So I tried to download new drivers for it. I looked how to do this and I ended up uninstalling the old ones and when I try to install the new drivers, it seems to go fine until I get an error that says "Application install: No disk space".
I guess it actually installed the display driver because it's listed in my device manager, but WoW still has the same problems (other players are constantly glitching everywhere they run -- sooo damn annoying). The installation process didn't go through with the full installation of ATI's software. I get the error when it says something about installing C++ or some shit like that. Damn, I'm not fluent in computer and I need help!
I'm already going to take the computer in to get it checked out, I think. I feel like I did something wrong. But if that error rings a bell with anyone, can you please help??? Thanks. It's greatly appreciated.
Also, another thing I noticed was that the memory on my graphics card is listed at 1024MB (1G, right?) when I look at the device on my computer, yet on the computer's box it should only be 512MB.
God, I hope I don't need to get a new graphics card. I'm tired of computer drama, already!

Bored now.
Almost done with my work and the day is only half over. Time for another posty posterson.
For those of you that get this (I know most people on my friendslist do), keyboard cat got featured on one of the local news-talk radio stations here. This was on Friday, but I nearly crashed my car when I heard the music. Immediately, I did what any good person would do: I tried to call mojiko and I twittered it. K, I didn't twitter it, but I'm sure if I had twitter, I would have twittered it. It's what all the celebs are doing. I figure it's like this: I'm like a celeb in a non-committal type of way, so I will fake-submit to twit my twitting twitter off. I'm a good twittee, ... sort of. :)
God, I feel like a bird. Tweet.
I have nothing but positive energy right now. I played through a few bosses in Ulduar last night, and it looked absolutely stunning on my new computer. I'm very happy with my purchase. I also can play Warhammer Online on the highest settings (I could only get by on the lowest settings with the old computer).
Warhammer still doesn't look as neat as WoW, but it's still a young game. It has a lot of time to get polished. The game is going to get a new big dungeony patch soon, and I'm pretty excited about it.
Oh, and I'm going to try and get my BlizzCon ticket this weekend. Here's hoping that I get lucky like I did last year. I just wish I knew what time of the day they were going on sale. It would possibly save me from having to stay up on Friday night. Wish me luck!
And now to cough up a baby bird.

Ah'yah... Worky time.
I need a flipping hair cut. What is it going to take for me to get over to a place and ask them to spend 5 minutes shaving off everything?? Better yet, what is it going to take for me to do it myself?
I look like a fat Charles Manson right now, sans swastika on my forehead.
I don't know at what point I let it all just go, but I like to think that it wasn't the point of no return. There will be return. I just don't know when. It'll be the second coming of Xtofer. Be ready.
So I had a good weekend. I was not feeling well on Saturday, but rest and relaxation played a good part in my rehab. I ended up buying a new computer, after all. Here are the specs:
