| cult TV Lounge - 1960s and 1970s cult TV |
[Oct. 11th, 2008|06:06 pm] |
cult_tv_lounge is a community for Cult TV programs.
Television in the 60s became smart and sexy, just like the music and the fashions. And British TV was the smartest and the sexiest, with series like Danger Man, The Prisoner and The Avengers. And TV discovered science fiction, with Dr Who and, and of the course the fantastic Supermarionation shows like UFO, Stingray, Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet. The 70s brought a new edginess to British TV, with spy series like Callan, cop shows like The Sweeney, and sci-fi like Blakes 7and Space: 1999. But the smartness and sexiness remained. American TV also produced some memorable and offbeat programs – like The Wild Wild West, I Spy and of course The Man from UNCLE.
If you love these programs, then the place you need to be is the Cult TV Lounge.

| cult TV Lounge - 1960s and 1970s cult TV |
[Oct. 11th, 2008|05:47 pm] |
Come back to a time when TV was smart and fun, and sexy as well. A time when Emma Peel redefined coolness. A time when Supermarionation was cutting edge technology. A time when TV took chances, when the edgy and the offbeat found a place on the airwaves. When originality was prized, when good writing was more important than the promotions budget.
Come to The cult_tv_lounge. We talk about shows like Danger Man, The Prisoner, The Avengers, Space: 1999, The Wild Wild West, The Man from UNCLE, Thunderbirds, Callan, Department S, The Saint and UFO.

alright... so we're all moved in. we have been for two months now. its nice to have a huge apartment. also, we're right around the corner from my friend jenn, so that is a plus too.
i don't want to talk about this... but i do think it needs to be written down... i miscarried on august 9th. i was 9 weeks and 1 day pregnant. i hadn't even made it to my first doctor's appointment. but, we figure that everything happens for a reason and that there was obviously something wrong with the pregnancy, so we're getting through. and we decided to start trying again.
so, keep your fingers crossed for us.
now, christopher... god, he has grown up so much. i can't believe he is 13 months already. he walks and talks and is just... the best thing that has ever happened to me. he laughs and it just makes my heart melt. i love that little boy more than i ever thought i could love anyone.
alright, that's all for now.
love and hugs. |

Title: The Sinking Ship Author: missparker Pairing: Janeway/Paris Rating: R Summary: Two weeks after the funeral, and five days since he’d exited the apartment, he had a visitor. Disclaimer: I don't own Star Trek, it's characters, or the terrible things Paramount did to those poor people. A/N: The link is off-site, due to length. Also, feedback is love, especially in a struggling fandom! Thirdly, this is cross-posted like whoa, sorry if you see it a billion times.
