I don't think that I've lived in one house for more than two years. I was born in New Zealand, but we moved to the US when I was little. Three years later, we moved back. I never thought then that I'd be moving back to the States six years after that. Another five years in the States and I'm home again. Now I'm at university hoping I don't fail. If procrastination was a class, you know I'd be acing it. I've still got the American accent somewhat, but I'm mostly mistaken for being Canadian, or (more often) English--I think from hanging around a bunch of Brits when I was in Wellington. At school I developed a reputation as a vampire. And for some reason, a cannibal. Maybe it's the biting thing... (V^^^V) Nevertheless, it was entertaining in my senior year to have some of the younger students intimidated by me. I think "Psycho Lady" is one of my favourite nicknames to ever come out of high school. I write sometimes, fanfictions and original stuff and poems. Sometimes I used to play around with my v. cheap digital camera and pretend to be 'artistic' through editing in photoshop if it doesn't turn out pretty to begin with. Occasionally I get creative and make livejournal icons, or play at doll-making sites. I'm an optimist. No matter how bad things get--in my life, my friend's or family's lives, the world in general, I always have faith that it will get better. And I have the patience to wait it out. Sometimes, though, I succumb to an all out hatred of humanity and the havoc it wreaks. It doesn't seem right that so many find greater pleasure in destruction than in creation. It's very easy to lose myself in books. For months at a time I can become obsessed with a book, series, character, or actor. I'll actively seek information, art, pictures, fanfics and whatnot, and could discuss that obsession endlessly if my friends would listen. When it's a common obsession, they do. And then for no reason at all, I'll lose interest and move on to the next big distraction. But there will always be a place in my head, heart, and computer files for former obsessions.
