Little girls are made of a lot of things now. They’re made of Von Dutch trucker caps, frosty pink Motorola cell phones, matching BMW cars on 16th birthdays, prom nights spent in rented lakefront cabins, hair color in a bottle, strappy Manolo cork heels, Coach purses, flipped hair, straightening irons, cashmere cardigans, Clinique perfume, Etnies sneakers with tight jeans and their boyfriend’s sweaters, jelly bracelets, Guess(?) watches, skin color by appointment, vintage t-shirts already worn and ripped for them, bubblegum lipgloss, J-Lo pantsuits for "dressing down", see-through shirts with colored tank tops underneath, layers and highlights galore, Paris Hilton’s legs, Tara Reid’s hair, the Olsen twins’ faces, and stiletto heels with cargo capris. *shudder*
