I have a question for anyone here that has a bunch of those giant Imaginext toys. How do you have them organized/stored? We have a castle, two Batcaves, evil villain lairs, jail, Spiderman tower, space station, etc. and they've been neatly (though barely) stacked on top of our Imaginarium train table. My boys love playing with them and make cities, but the train table has finally been completely broken and needs to be thrown out. That leaves me with the conundrum of where to put the giant toys. They have a play corner in our family room, so it's not like the toys will be out of sight in their rooms (I am against toys in bedrooms anyway). I also really don't want to spend $200 on another train table that won't be used as a train table, and all the toy organizers/chests I've looked at are too small to fit a giant castle/Batcave. Any advice would be much appreciated!
A boy and I would like to do a genderqueer or genderfuck burlesque act for Seattle Pride. but so far, we're having a hard time coming up with a song.
can anyone think of music with appropriate themes?

My son never slept in our bed, he slept in a bassinet next to it until he outgrew it and we moved him to a crib in his own room. He was also a bottle baby. Our daughter starts the night in a pack n play next to our bed, then comes into our bed halfway through the night when she wants to nurse with me, and stays there until we wake up in the morning. I use one pillow for me, keep her at chest level (for easy boob access) and have a blanket around my legs and not around her.
She just turned 3 months old though so I'm becoming concerned about her rolling. Should I be buying a bed rail for my side? How do I keep her from rolling off our bed? I could put her between her dad and me (instead of me being in the middle as we do it now), but I've read that the father is more likely to roll onto the baby than the mother is so I don't want to do that. I know our best bet is a mattress on the floor against the wall, but we don't have an extra mattress and there isn't space to do that in our bedroom anyway. Our bed is only a full, so it's pretty tiny, and with my husband in bed with the two of us she can roll away from me like 1.5 times and end up falling. I'd be less worried if there was more space between her and the edge of the bed, but there just isn't. I'm guessing a bed rail is probably our best bet, but I was wondering if any experienced bedsharers had any better ideas.

A friend of mine is a pro-photog and just posted this status:

Seen on facebook, a one year old girl named Cereniti. Oh my.
Has anyone had any experience with scabies treatment during pregnancy? Is permethrin safe?
12.5 weeks. My son and I both have it and my husband will probably be quick to follow. First time. :(
ETA: Walgreens just told me that there is no over the counter treatment available, even just until I can get in to a doctor. Is this true? Any alternatives to help in the meantime? I have an appt. for 9am tomorrow. The thought of another itchy night and waking up with bites all over is icking me out.

Flying for 11 hours with a 3 year old boy, and all I can think of to take as snacks are sugary candy type things. Any ideas for a long flight, plus long drives? I really don't want a hyper kid running around the plane.

Good Evening, Ladies.
So, just found out that I have gestational diabetes, and I'm only 18 weeks right now. I'm meeting with my OB's nurse tomorrow to go over all the business of testing and such, and am meeting with a nutritionist soon. I looked through the tags and found lots of great into here on GD, but I was also wondering for those of who you have dealt with it, what sort of changes did you make to your lifestyle and diet? I understand that this is a different journey for everyone, but I'm just looking for a heads up, and am generally curious. :)
And then the rant...
I'm getting real tired of people always asking me, "How are you feeling?" This is our third pregnancy; after the first one landed us with an emergency c-section at 36 weeks and a week long hospital stay, and much the second pregnancy's coinciding with a military deployment... It seems all I hear out of certain family members is that incredibly annoying question. Part of me feels guilty when I know their intentions are good. But they just. don't. stop. And they're the type of people who politely asking them not to ask will have them on the defense, and/or they'll get the impression that I'm hiding something that is truly wrong. Sigh. It's simply not good enough for me to on the whole, be feeling fine.
Okay, /rant.
Thank you kindly for any input on the GD stuff, and thanks for humoring my mini rage. ;) I hope you're all doing well and having a lovely evening!
