My new friend and I were at the front doors to the art center, just about to walk in, when I received a phone call from my babysitter...she needed me to come home right away. Upon returning home, the gentleman that accompanied me to the event suggested we sit down and share our own secrets with each other. I proceeded to grab a notebook and we each had our own pen. Three secrets each were shared. It ended up being the most incredible evening as we elaborated on our secrets, exposed our soft underbellies, and neither of us ran away - as we all fear will happen when we expose such intimate parts of ourselves. Being a longtime fan of PostSecret, I always found the foreign language secrets to be the most interesting and appealing to me. I think it's incredible how secrets can cross cultural and language barriers with ease. So I combined my love of the French language and culture with my love of PostSecret, made this video in French and PostSecretFrance was born. Can you share a postcard with us that has a personal meaning for you and explain why it is special to you? My favorite secret that I have gotten so far is the simplest one. july, august [30 Sep 2008|08:54pm] malloreigh i like posting photos... but i don't do it for a long time and then it becomes kind of overwhelming. these photos are all from july and august. many of them were taken at the studio, where i spent a lot of time this summer. good times all. edited to add: argh, a lot of these apparently didn't upload to my website properly - which sucks because they're definitely gone to the ether now. :( i'm really sad. i think i still have the originals around but it's very frustrating. i lost a LOT of things in the grand computer switch - consolidating the contents of TWO computers to ONE new computer in a grand total of three hours... yeah, lots of failed transfers. :( sorry.
