Oct. 12th, 2008 @ 10:59 pm Trade Offered
I was offered the following trade:

I give: Philip Rivers
I get: Julius Jones and Felix Jones

In a vacuum, Rivers is worth more than that, but I also have Peyton Manning and I don't think I'd ever start Rivers over Manning. I do have Tomlinson, but my other RBs are pretty mediocre... Fred Taylor, Ryan Grant, Warrick Dunn, and Darren Sproles. What do y'all think?

I can start three, but I have four all in about the same situation. SO i need some suggetions:

Kevin smith vs Vikings(splitting carries with rudi johnson)
Fred Taylor vs Broncos(Splitting carries with jones-drew)
McGahee vs Colts(splitting carries with 2 other backs and not getting goal line carries)
Pittman vs Jags(Selvin Young is out for this game so pittman be splitting carries with one other person and pittman seems like the goal line option).

Every week I have the same dilemma.
Rodgers or Brees??
When I bench Rodgers he has a fantastic week....
And Brees doesn't show up.

Then I'll start Rodgers, and he falls apart!

So, care to lend an opinion?

Oct. 9th, 2008 @ 03:55 pm Two Feist tickets FOR SALE

Hi everyone,

I'm selling a pair of Feist tickets for her show in Winnipeg on Monday, October 20th at the MTS Centre. Hayden is the opening act. There are now more of us going so we bought other seats and I need to get rid of these.

Concert Bowl seating (half of the MTS Centre)

Section 104, Row 3, Seats 19 & 20
Awesome seats (right next to the stage!)

Selling both for $120 (which is what I paid) but I'm completely willing to negotiate the price.

Thanks!

Oct. 9th, 2008 @ 10:58 am Week Six
I am a bit torn on my lineup for week six. All help appreciated:

My opponents team and my for sure players )

But I still need to plunk in another RB and one RB/WR flex.

Poll #1275475 Week Six
Open to: Friends, detailed results viewable to: Friends

Pick One RB

Edgerrin James vs. Dallas
2 (12.5%)

Tim Hightower vs. Dallas
1 (6.2%)

Thomas Jones vs. Cincinnati
8 (50.0%)

Joseph Addai vs. Baltimore
5 (31.2%)

Pick a RB/WR Flex Player

Joseph Addai vs. Baltimore
4 (25.0%)

Thomas Jones vs. Cincinnati
1 (6.2%)

Edgerrin James vs. Dallas
4 (25.0%)

Tim Hightower vs. Dallas
1 (6.2%)

Devery Henderson vs. Oakland
1 (6.2%)

Bernard Berrian vs. Detroit
5 (31.2%)

Musin Muhammed is available on the waivers, do I pick him up? If so, which player do I drop?

Yes
8 (50.0%)

No
7 (43.8%)

Devery Henderson
4 (25.0%)

Bernard Berrian
5 (31.2%)

I am torn because I think that Berrian could do very well against Detroit, especially coming off of last week's game.  But, I also think that Drew Brees is going to be launching the ball around Oakland, and Henderson should get a lot of looks with Colston, Shockey, and Patton out.  I am not crazy about Addai, because the Ravens are number one against the run, and last year they held Addai to only 2.5 yards per carry.  Not to mention, the Colts offense has been wonky this year, I think.

I don't mind Edgerrin James, but he's against the Cowboys this week, and his counterpart, Hightower, whom I also own, gets the goal lines carries.  Then again, Thomas Jones is coming off bye week against Cincinnati, and that could be a nice matchup.

I am leaning toward playing Jones in my RB slot, but the flex spot has me wavering.  As far as scoring goes, I get one point per 10 yards received or rushed, 6 pts per touchdown, and this league is not PPT.

I got two trades proposed to me.

Lee Evans for Jonathan Stewart and Anthony Gonzalez

and

Lee Evans and Chris Henry for Dwayne Bowe and Kevin Curtis

My WR's are Greg Jennings, Laveranues Coles, Lee Evans, Mushin Muhammad, Devrey Henderson, Antwaan Randle El, Chris Henry.

My RB's are Chris Johnson, Matt Forte, Jamal Lewis, Kevin Smith, Sammy Morris.

Should I do either of them? Can Kevin Curtis reclaim his production from last year?

Oct. 8th, 2008 @ 10:39 am Trade?
So I'm in desperate need of a 2nd RB in one of my leagues (After LT, I have Ryan Grant, Fred Taylor, Warrick Dunn, and Darren Sproles, none of whom have been consistent). I made it known that I'd be willing to trade a WR (I have Houshmanzadeh, Calvin Johnson, Dwayne Bowe, and Lee Evans, so I have some to spare) or Philip Rivers (Peyton Manning is my starter and his bye week is done) for a RB. I got the following trade offer today:

I give: Houshmanzadeh
I get: Larry Johnson

What do y'all think? LJ did nothing the first two weeks, was awesome weeks 3 and 4, and had a whopping total of 2 yards from scrimmage last week. Inconsistent, but probably an improvement over my other guys.

Alternatively, I could counter with an offer for Michael Turner, Reggie Bush, or Matt Forte. I'm not entirely convinced he'd trade Turner or Forte for Houshmanzadeh, but Bush might be an option.

What do y'all think about those other options? Would it make a difference if I offered Evans, Johnson, or Bowe instead?
