Mum: What's that in the background?
Me: The music? Sounds kinda' like doowop, but faster?
Mum: Yes
Me: It's the Ramones.
Mum: Oh, I don't think I know them..
Me: Yeah, big in the 70s and 80s; punk rock, they all had shaggy hair and wore black leather jackets. And they were pretty ugly..
Mum: Oh, haha, I really like it!
