“Shut the fuck up, Delk,” said Cal. “And take this.”
She pressed the box into my hand.
“What is it?”
“Beats the shit out of me,” she said, shrugging. “I found it in the capsule. The pilot was holding onto it -- tight.”
“You pried it from his dead hands?”
“Yeah,” Cal replied. “Had to break a few of his knuckles to get it out. So I figure it must be important.”
