A rare appearance

Sigune's drawing of Clancy
Why do I update my LJ so infrequently? Basically, because I'm lazy and unfocused. My mind is on other matters right now, but I still check in once or twice a day and try to keep up with the posts.

I don't have any stories to plug, and I'm too shy to discuss my personal life, so what does that leave?

But I feel like I'm doing you a favor by not updating when I don't have anything interesting to say. Isn't it better that way?

Since I'm here, however, I'll take this opportunity to remind you that the_bitter_word is hosting this month's S.N.A.P.E. contest, so why not mosey on over and submit an entry?

I don't know ... for a while, you were putitng up those memes, and your responses always made me laugh. Of course, I'm not saying you should spend your time posting memes in order to amuse me. But if you did, I wouldn't object. ;-D

:-) I need to find some interesting memes. I still owe a couple I never got around to doing.

Good to see you! It doesn't have to be perfectly crafted prose -- I just like reading a post from you now and then. I miss your wacky poems, but I'd settle for some memage in the interim. Someday I'll fgure out that Art Pad thing and do an actual S.N.A.P.E., but I never have the patience to work it out while I am having an actual idea.

*waves back*

I haven't written a poem since Valentine's Day, but at least it was a hit! ;-)

The next time I see an interesting meme, I'll give it a go. I remember one you did a while back that I liked -- something to do with how girly you are or something? At least I think it was yours. Perhaps I should give that one a try.

Artpad can be a trial, but it is fun once you start fooling around with it.

So many thanks for the reminder. I was getting around to it... any day now... sigh.

I meant to post something on the contest a couple of weeks ago. Procrastination is a terrible thing. :-)

Popping in just to induce the sheer joy we feel when we see your avatar on our friends' pages?

Works for me :-D Although I wouldn't turn down poetry and silly memage either.

And I say that you are not lazy; you are "otherwise engaged." ;-)

I like the sound of "otherwise engaged". It sounds more sophisticated than "preoccupied with..." well, never mind. :-)

If you come across a thought provoking meme, send it my way and I'll give it a shot.

Just the simple fact that you pop up on my friends page is enough for me, you don't have to say anything at all, (but a silly meme or something is always nice, and poems!).

Howdy! *hugs back*

I'll try not to be such a stranger. :-)

Vegas, baby!

It's nice to see your pineapple!

Hey, only the elite get to see my pineapple. :-D

69 days...
May. 19th, 2006 03:42 am (UTC)
69? Reaalllly? *whistles innocently*

May. 19th, 2006 05:26 pm (UTC)''re...insidious! ;-)

Anagrams for a certain alias: erection pill, ill reception.

Were those planned? :-D
May. 19th, 2006 06:20 pm (UTC)
*giggles* Ooh, you've discovered that I'd originally planned to have him pose as a Viagra salesman or a television repairman!

(Actually, sadly, no. That name was decided upon in an entirely practical and uninspired fashion...female version of mother's name + mother's maiden name. But now that I know the possibilities...)

only the elite get to see my pineapple

And very happy I am to see it too.

It's totally up to you, everyone uses LJ in their own way. I'm still a newbie, trying to figure out the ground rules, and not be rude to anyone in the meantime. Don't feel that you have to be devastatingly witty the whole time, or bare your soul. It's nice to hear from you, otherwise I wouldn't have friended you. I liked your poem on grainne's LJ.

I haven't done my SNAPE entry yet. ArtPad is annoying me at the minute, mostly because I am tired getting hand cramp drawing with a nipple (not even a mouse).

I don't know. I'm weird, I guess. I enjoy reading other people's LJs more than I do updating my own. I've had mine nearly a year and I was afraid when I signed on I'd be at a loss for things to post. That's how the S.N.A.P.E. contest came about -- just a silly idea I posted once to see if I'd get any takers. But it's been a great deal of fun and the entries have been amazing. And now I'm acquainted with fabulous artists I never knew before! :-)

You started SNAPE? Then I really have to thank you, because I basically got my whole initial LJ friends list from that, and a lovelier group of people I couldn't have come across.

I have to restrain myself from posting about 3 times a day sometimes, though I try not to post when I'm too depressed because I know I'll just come out with badly composed twaddle (or more so than usual). LJing is incredibly addictive.

BTW I'm in the middle reading your 'Highly Improbable' on Occlumency at the moment. I haven't met Snape yet but I'm enjoying it a lot. Clancy is a lot of fun.

Yes, I started the contest last June. It will be a year old next month. I've found LJ to be a lovely group of people as well. Everyone has been incredibly nice to me.

I'm glad you like Clancy and are enjoying the story!
