| Andrew Garfield As Spider-Man Takes Break From Filming To Play Basketball With Kids |
[24 May 2013|11:05pm] |
Andrew Garfield has apparently been spotted playing basketball with local children while wearing a Spider-Man costume.
Though his face cannot be seen, multiple people recording the court action have claimed he was taking a break from shooting the blockbuster sequel to last summer's superhero hit.
Garfield's co-star and girlfriend Emma Stone was also supposedly caught on camera looking after a dog.
"This is the real deal," said one YouTube uploader. "Andrew Garfield, taking it to the hole, buries the jumper on the two kids."
The Amazing Spider-Man 2, currently filming in Manhattan, is scheduled for release on May 2, 2014.
Sally Field, Martin Sheen, Shailene Woodley, Felicity Jones, Paul Giamatti and BJ Novak will feature in the movie alongside Garfield and Stone.

| Connie Britton With Son Yoby At LAX |
[24 May 2013|09:03pm] |
|
The actress adopted the little boy from Ethiopia last November and has named him Yoby, a nickname of Eyob, which is his given name.
She told More magazine in March that despite the challenges that come with being a single mother, she has no regrets.
'Being a single mom is challenging, but never in a million years would that have stopped me. You get an idea in your head and you’re going to do it,' she said.
She admitted her hectic filming schedule made things difficult.
'The schedule is insane to the point where I lose a lot of sleep at night worrying about how little time I have to sleep and mostly what little time I have to be with my son,' Connie says.
But she did acknowledge how lucky she is to be able to bring him to work with her each day.
'The flip side of that is, he’s doing great. He comes to the set every day,' she said. 'As working moms go, at least I have that luxury.'

| Michelle Dockery on Lady Mary's dramatic curve on 'Downton Abbey' |
[24 May 2013|08:30pm] |

Michelle Dockery just finished a long day of filming at Highclere Castle, the Hampshire, England country house that always looks so lovely on 'Downton Abbey' even though most spring days there, like this particular one, are wet and windy. Before heading off to a late dinner with 'Downton' creator Julian Fellowes ("I'm going to try to find out some story lines, but it's like getting blood out of a stone, Dockery good-naturedly complains), the Emmy-nominated actress took a break to talk to The Envelope about where her character, Lady Mary, might be heading in the wake of the shocking Season 3 finale death of her beloved husband, Matthew (Dan Stevens).
So how far along are you in shooting the new season? We're almost halfway through. We're filming episodes 5 and 6.

| Beyonce Reveals New Clothing Range To Make 'Women Feel Confident And Beautiful' |
[24 May 2013|10:55pm] |
Beyonce has excited fans with the announcement that she has created her own line of designer favourites for fashion website Rent the Runway that would mean fans could borrow pieces from her collection for a fraction of the price than if they were to buy them.
Her wardrobe may seem like it only consists of embellished leotards and fishnet stockings, but after having become the face of budget brand H&M, the Single Ladies singer's latest boutique collection for the designer clothes website is sure to be a hit with her fans as they can rent the same outfits Bey herself would probably wear.
The collection, named 'The Beyonce Boutique', includes sequinned dresses and stylish jumpsuits that will enable fans to imitate her style and prices begin at a mere $50 for outfits, and $10 for accessories, from fashion houses including Sachin & Babi and Badgley Mischka.
When the announcement became public knowledge, Bey claimed to have definitely had input in the collection, so as not to disappoint fans. In a statement, she said: “Making women feel confident and beautiful is something I've always been passionate about. That's why joining forces with Rent the Runway was so organic.”
Beyonce has been pretty busy lately, what with still touring Europe on herMrs Carter Show tour, going to the Bahamas for photoshoots with H&M, collaborating with Rent the Runway to create her own collection, and all whilst rumours are rife about the Crazy In Love singer's supposed pregnancy.
It would have been a dead give-away if Bey had included maternity pieces in her selection, but alas, there are none, as she's still keeping us guessing. Her actual selection though is now available to browse and rent on the website now.

| Ian Gillan Shades Royal Family and the Establishment. |
[24 May 2013|08:02pm] |
Deep Purple frontman Ian Gillan isn't surprised Britain's heavy rock icons have never been honoured with knighthoods and royal accolades, because he and his peers refuse to rub shoulders with "the right people".
The rocker reveals he has never come close to becoming Sir Ian and he doesn't expect a Sir Ozzy, a Sir Geezer or a Sir Robert Plant any time soon - because the heavier stars are too anti-establishment for the royal family and top politicians.
He tells Wenn, "I've fought all my life against being institutionalised and I think you have to actively search these things out, in other words mingle with the right people, and we don't get invited to those kind of things."
Gillan believes the same can be said about acts that are inducted to the Rock & Roll of Fame, a museum Deep Purple still haven't been added to after getting overlooked again this year (13). He adds, "I got an inside word in there and they were talking of us as one-hit wonders!
"It's not the fans that vote for these things... it's a little coterie of people in the business chewing their cigars and figuring out who they would benefit by scratching backs and reciprocal treatment, and I remind myself that these are the same committee, although a different generation, that probably decided The Monkees were America's answer to The Beatles."

| It’s One Niall to Chelsea |
[24 May 2013|07:54pm] |
Star spends night with TV beauty Louise One Direction’s Irish charmer, 19, has wooed her for weeks with flirty texts and calls. And Niall — famed for hit albums Take Me Home and Up All Night — made his move as he sent a taxi to her West London pad to take her to his luxury North London home. Posh Louise, 22, had such a good time she stayed until the following afternoon — missing a photoshoot with fella and co-star Andy Jordan, 23. A source said last night: “Louise has gushed about Niall for weeks. “She says he has the Irish gift of the gab and is very open about him being her celebrity crush. “It started with jokey comments on Twitter, but now they text each other all the time. “They were on the phone last week when he suggested she go over and sent a car. It was secretive and exciting.” The fashion designer first became Twitter pals with him after going to a 1D London gig this year Meanwhile, Niall scored yesterday — as he and 1D pals Louis Tomlinson, 21, and Liam Payne, 19, trained with Cristiano Ronaldo’s Real Madrid. Niall, whose band play the Spanish capital this week, called it “one of the best days of my life”. src

| Why Alice in Chains' Jerry Cantrell Won't Play Any Unleaked Songs |
[24 May 2013|07:52pm] |
Guitarist on the birth of the band's latest LP, 'The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here'
For Jerry Cantrell, talking about the past is beyond old. After all, when his band of a quarter century, Alice in Chains, finally released its fourth LP in 2009, journalists and fans alike seemed more interested in exhuming history than talking about new co-lead singer William DuVall, or the surprisingly energized sound of Black Gives Way to Blue. The gab, of course, was about Layne Staley, the band's former frontman who died in 2002, and the circuitous and painful path on which their early '90s Seattle ascendance placed the band.
"A lot of the external questions were put to rest on Black Gives Way to Blue," says Cantrell. "And with the few internal ones we had, we'd proven to ourselves that we'd done the right thing. We're really proud, first and foremost, of how we handled ourselves through everything. We didn't pull any punches. We answered every question. We talked about every painful thing. We did all of that on that first record, facing everything and moving on. We did it with class and style, and we made a damn good record. We've always had a saying in this band that when you bet on yourself, you're going to win. And we've always bet on ourselves. We carried that into this record."
Back then, he endured it, but The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here should divert that chatter entirely: An assured, diverse, heated record with galvanized hooks, aggressive guitar solos, and one lugubrious ballad ("Scapel") that flickers like a distant candle. DuVall and Cantrell sing well with each other here — no, not like Staley and Cantrell, but like DuVall and Cantrell, two vocalists comfortable trading patient lead lines or settling in to back his counterpart.
For the better part of the next year, the band will be on the road behind these new songs. After that, Cantrell says, they'll rest and return to the studio — a relatively new quartet with more material left to make. "A really important lesson we've learned is to take things one step at a time and enjoy what you are doing now and keep your head in where you are now," Cantrell explains. "If you're looking too far down the road or too hard over your shoulder, you're going to fucking fall down."
We caught up with Cantrell on a tour stop in Milwaukee, where he explained why he won't be playing too much off the new record.
( the restCollapse ) Another positive review for Alice in Chains' sure to be fantastic new album The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here

The Young and the Restless Will Air Jeanne Cooper Tribute On Tuesday, May 28!
Cast members and friends of the beloved actress, including Melody Thomas Scott, Christian Le Blanc, Tracey Bregman, Eric Braeden and THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL’s John McCook, as well as family members such as her son, Corbin Bernsen, recently gathered on set to shoot a celebration of the life of their late friend, who passed away earlier this month at the age of 84.
Cooper, who portrayed Katherine Chancellor for more than 39 years, was the show’s longest-running cast member. As part of the tribute episode, the cast will share their favorite memories of working with Cooper, along with personal recollections of their friendships with her.
Jill Farren Phelps in an interview with TV Guide: "We'll serve tea and let everyone talk and cry and laughs and share and we'll find the best photos and clips we can get our hands on and edit it all together into a beautiful celebration episode. This is all for Jeanne. And then later we will deal with the death of Kay Chancellor. We've already written the show into July, so it will take some time before we can address her departure on air. In the meantime, there will be references in the script that Katherine and her husband Murphy are off somewhere on a trip."
"We have not yet decided how Kay's life will actually end," Phelps said, "but we are talking a bit already about what she will leave in her wake. It will be something that will leave the memory of Kay Chancellor deeply embedded in everyone in Genoa City. What happens to Chancellor Industries? What decisions did Kay make in the event of her death? The ramifications need to be big."
