CASE OF THE ACTUAL AUSTRALIAN COURT DOCKET 12659 PREGNANT LADY

A lady about 8 months pregnant got on a bus. She noticed the man opposite
her was smiling at her. She immediately moved to another seat. This time
The smile turned into a grin, so she moved again. The man seemed more
amused. When on the fourth move, the man burst out laughing, she complained
to the driver and he had the man arrested.

The case came up in court!

The judge asked the man (about 20 years old) what he had to say for himself.

The man replied, "Well your Honor, it was like this; When the lady got on the bus, I couldn't help but notice her condition.
She sat down under a sign that said, 'The Double Mint Twins are coming' and
I grinned.
Then she moved and sat under a sign that said, 'Logan's Liniment will
reduce the swelling,' and I had to smile.
Then she placed herself under a deodorant sign that said, 'William's Big
Stick Did the Trick,' and I could hardly contain myself.
But, Your Honor, when she moved the fourth time and sat under a sign that
said, 'Goodyear Rubber could have prevented this Accident'...
After ordering the upgraded speech processor, Freedom, to celebrate a new freedom (unless it's promising); I'm giving myself a debate in between making a decision on whether to get an iPhone or the 6th generation iPod, since I, as well, will receive an accessory which is Personal Audio Cable for simple connection to an iPod®, Walkman®, portable radio or other battery-operated audio products. I've never had an iPod of my own.

I have limited funds, though I spend my money wisely. The new processor costs $7,850, however, it turns out that I probably will not have to pay for it at all. I want to get an iPod to enjoy the music more. Waiting for the final decision results from Cochlear Americas.

I know those are just pagan observations, but...

Even though there's no real evidence for Jesus Christ's exact birth date, when do you believe his birthday was? It's common for people to believe that Jesus was born on December 25. If you have to disagree that it's common, color me wrong. ;)

Due to doing research on my own, he was born sometime in the early autumn, not December. It's not likely for shepherds to be out in the fields with their sheep flocks overnight at that time of the year, and also the Roman Caesar wouldn't command people who were inclinced to revolt against him to take a trip in the dead of winter to register. According to the trip Mary and Joseph were taking to Bethlehem, the city of their firstborn's birth to be registered, those are good reasons not to believe that his birth had occurred on December 25.

Do you agree or disagree? Why or why not?

(Whoever's not on my f-list, feel free to leave a comment if you feel like saying something regarding to this post.)

Just in case you are wondering, I probably will not be updating within a week or so. I am in progress of getting prepared for moving out which is on 31st; additionally, I've been away from the internet lately for many reasons. I think it's time for me to take a LJ break for a little while; however I may read around and leave comments in your journal once I have time. I have way too much stuff to take care of. Sometimes it's not easy to have responsibilities on your own. I will see you guys shortly! :)

5/27/06 4:25AM EDIT: Surprisingly, I almost am done packing everything since this evening! I've realized that I got rid of lots of things I hardly ever used when I moved in here. So yay!

Time for a new roommate

One thing I didn't tell you what's going on last month. Ying, my former roommate, decided to move out at the beginning of March after we had a little fight a couple weeks earlier. Both of us thought it is for our goods since we have a very few in common.

I left a egg into a pan of boiled water one night and it exploded that almost the whole kitchen was in mess. Ying got upset by it and I told her that I'm going to fix about this problem. I cleaned everything just in 10-15 minutes - it's just food disaster, but for some reason, Ying realized that she couldn't take my lifestyle easy. That night, the decision was made.

She moved out without saying goodbye, but I see her again occasionally. On the other hand, she's preparing to move out of state anytime soon to enter the career world as a doctor in case she gets hired so I would still need another roommate to share with.

She offered to take a responsibility in finding a new roommate for me. Fair enough. And also she pays me $300 for rent every month (some of her furniture and storage still are furnished in my apartment) till the lease ends which would be on May 25th. In her knowledge, I posted a couple "female roommate wanted" ads in one of university's housing websites just for free and received numerous ads especially from a few males. Nothing works out ever since...

I had some spare time last weekend and checked the site and I found an ad about a female is in need of renting a room this summer after the spring semester ends. I wrote to her about the room, apartment, utility fees, etc. and she wrote back right away. She sounds like she's very interested in taking a look sometime this week. Also she gave me a "warning" that her fiance may come for a visit two weekends a month. It'd not be a big issue for me, tho. I'm not that uptight for a roommate.

It has been very nice living alone for a month so far and it has been quite a while. Drinking lots of beer, making loud noises while getting off, walking around in my underclothes or bikinis, having any friends over, even smoking occasionally (shhhh!).

I'll tell you about the results after the lady's visit.

Whether they're surfing, cycling or sprinting, these celebrities work hard to stay in shape...

10. Jennifer Aniston: Yoga Helps Her Heal
Since breaking up with Brad Pitt a year ago, Jennifer Aniston has found solace in yoga. "It keeps my body strong. It's been wonderful for me," says Jen. Not only does hatha yoga give the 37-year-old an amazingly toned body, she claims it also helps her sleep! Jennifer also practices Budokon, a challenging combo of yoga and martial arts. "She's willing to put the work in, no matter what you ask her to do," Budokon founder Cameron Shayne tells In Touch. "She's very dedicated to her health and wellness."
Fit fact: Jennifer also loves high-intensity cardio, like running.

9. Whether she's surfing, snowboarding or slamming into sand dunes without her surfboard in the deserts of Chile (for her MTV show Trippin'), Cameron's not afraid to get down and dirty. "Your regrets aren't what you did, but what you didn't do. So I take every opportunity," says the self-confessed outdoor girl. Cameron says she has always led an active lifestyle but admits: "I didn't work out until I started Charlie's Angels. And then I was, like, 'Why wasn't I doing this the entire time?'"
Fit fact: Cameron took up golf so she can play with boyfriend Justin Timberlake.

8. Josh Holloway: Plays In Paradise
He's always getting into scrapes as bad-boy Sawyer on Lost, but in real life, Josh Holloway maintains his rippling physique through boxing and martial arts instead of trekking through tropical jungles. Living in Hawaii, where the show is filmed, he makes the most of the island. "It's a playground. My wife [Yessica Kumula] and I love to hike. We just bought a house on a canal, so we take sunset kayak trips," says Josh, who also likes sailing, snorkeling, and boogie boarding. After spending his younger years globe-trotting, the 36-year-old is now happy to settle down in paradise and plans to spend a recent pay raise on a 26-foot boat. "A fishing machine! I love to fish," he says.
Fit fact: Josh hired a trainer to get into killer shape before Lost's second season.

7. Jennifer Lopez: Never Misses a Workout
She's one of the busiest stars in Hollywood, but Jennifer Lopez always makes time to exercise. "I work out with my trainer, Gunnar Peterson, three or four times a week -- just regular circuit training with aerobics in between. And I do yoga or tae bo," says the 36-year-old. Even when Jen's working on a movie, she gets up "extra early" to do one of Gunnar's workout DVDs before filming starts. "Jennifer has laser focus -- she never misses a workout," Peter tells In Touch. "If it can be done, we do it!"
Fit fact: Jennifer does special squats and weighted lunges to maintain her most famous asset.

6. Ryan Phillippe: Mad For Martial Arts
Reese Witherspoon is one lucky lady! As his buff body clearly shows, her husband, Ryan Phillippe, is a serious adrenaline junkie and admits he almost gave up acting to become a professional snowboarder. The actor loves to run, and he plays soccer and baseball, but Ryan's lifelong passion has always been martial arts: "I used to compete in tournaments," the 31-year-old says. "I have a black belt in tae kwon do."
Fit fact: Running fast, like Ryan does, can burn up to 800 calories an hour.

5. Kate Beckinsale: Does Her Own Stunts
"Before I came to LA, I'd never been to the gym in my life!" says Kate Beckinsale. BUt after she was told to lose 20 pounds before filming Pearl Harbor, working out has become an essential part of her life. "I found it quite liberating," she says. Now the 32-year-old does intense hour-long workouts with trainer Valerie Waters five days a week, whether or not she's preparing for a movie. "She's one of my strongest clients and can really kick butt in the gym," Waters tells In Touch. Outside the gym, Kate keeps strong by doing her own stunts. "I don't mind heights," she says. "It's just heights coupled with being upside down that's scary!"
Fit fact: Kate does an intense combo of lunges, squats, sprints and steps.

4. Matthew Perry: He's a Cardio Junkie
Cute, cuddly Chandler Bing is long gone and the new Matthew Perry is pure muscle! "I just thought it was time for me to get into shape," he tells In Touch, and boy, did he do it! "Matthew is first and foremost an athlete," says his trainer, Gunnar Peterson, who puts him through sprints, weight training and intense stair-climbing three times a week. "He pushes himself." When he's not working out with Gunnar, Matthew, 36, plays wallyball (a form of indoor volleyball) and does cardio at the Sports Club/LA in LA. "I ride the bike and do the elliptical machine," he says.
Fit fact: Matthew keeps his tennis skills fresh by playing with Drew Gerstein, founder of Burn 60 gym.

3. Renee Zellweger: She Runs It Off
Renee Zellweger never worried about losing the 20 pounds she put on to play Bridget Jones (twice) -- she simply ran it off! "I just went jogging with my dog as I always do," says Renee, who also hits the treadmills at Crunch Fitness in West Hollywood or runs on the rooftop deck of the Reebok Sports Club/NY when she's on the East Coast. (She runs almost every day!) Not only does she burn calories, the 36-year-old actress says running releases "that pent-up energy I'd rather have coming out of my feet onto the pavement than out of my mouth."
Fit fact: Renee is so dedicated that she even went running on New Year's Day after a night out!

2. Matthew McConaughey: Works Out All Over The World
Matthew McConaughey is a true outdoors man -- he'll even trek across the globe to get in an exhilarating workout! This 36-year-old has hiked the Andes, trekked through the jungles of Peru and run up mountains in Mexico, but he's just as happy to "go drip that sweat," in the city, and thinks London's Hyde Park is "the coolest park to run in." When he gets to the top of a killer mountain climb, Matthew still has the energy to do push-ups. "I'll stop and throw down 30, get up and just keep moving," he says. "It's fun to feel healthy, and it's fun to feel good."
Fit fact: Matthew is very dedicated to keeping his six-pack in shape.

1. Madonna: She's a Fitness Fanatic
Not even a horse-riding accident last August could keep Madonna out of the gym for long. "She's so driven -- she was actually doing Pilates with broken bones," says pal Gwyneth Paltrow. Now that she's recovered, the 47-year-old maintains her body with high-intensity yoga, Pilates, swimming, karate, weight lifting, running, cycling and horse-riding. Madonna even has a step machine in her office and takes her Pilates equipment on tour with her! "She's very hard on herself because she's a perfectionist," Pilates trainer Brooke Siler tells In Touch. Madonna's former trainer Rob Parr adds, "She is very disciplined and her focus is unbelievable."
Fit fact: Madonna battles traffic by cycling around the streets of London.

Source: In Touch 2/27/06, pg. 36-41

We were the only two people in the huge room...total strangers. But the patter of rain on the windows, and the soft lamplight falling on our shoulders, made everything seem very intimate. He looked up, nodded at me, and smiled. I nodded back, and we both returned to reading our magazines...

I wanted to sit by myself and think about things. I wondered what there was about him that intrigued me so instantly. I wondered if he belonged to anyone, if he was Ann's or somebody else's boyfriend. I loved his face; it seemed to me to be shadowed with secrets. A mischievous face. I loved his smile, shy and tentative but warm-a warmth in his eyes. He looked young-my age, I guessed, maybe a little younger. I loved the way his glasses slipped forward when he said hi, and the way he pushed them back up his nose.

-Written by Liz Sheridan in Dizzy & Jimmy, one of my all-time favorite books

In Giant which was his last movie he acted in.

My love for James Dean never died since my first sight of him in Rebel Without a Cause during my early teenager years. Like Sheridan, something about him that intrigued me so instantly. Even though, he only was an actor in a very few well-known movies other than TV shows before he lost his life at a very young age, he was one of the greatest actor of all time. He is a legend.

All of us were touched by Jimmy, and he was touched by greatness. -Natalie Wood
