time of my life

edit: im in oklahoma city at our family reunion.

i just had the time of my life at the Nintendo Fusion: Evanence and Cold concert. Lets start from the beginning... First off, a band that somewhat reminded me of Good Charlotte played. I'm not really a fan of GC, but this was a lot less-polished and pretty hard-rock; just a little too "happy" for me. I can't exactly remember the name... err XP i could have gotten their signatures but i wasn't really interested.

the second band was "revis." i thought they would be horrible, but they were great! the lead singer had an awesome, low voice that made me swoon. i got their signatures on my shoe... lets see, it's very hard to read what they've written, but apparently one of them wrote "don't tread on me." i'll have to see if that's a song name by them or something... i'm not sure what that means. another one of the guys wrote something, then "Revis", then something else. gah, i wish i knew what it said!

Cold was pretty good. they didn't sound like they do on their CD, but still good. i bought an awesome t-shirt that just screamed "me", if ya know what i mean. lots of screaming, from them and the croud. last was evanescence. amy lee blew. me. away. i had thought that she couldn't really sing as well as she does on the CD. i was VERY WRONG. after her performance, the rest of the crowd and i just stood their and continued clapping. about 10 mionutes later (still clapping and screaming) she decides to come back out and do two more songs- one was amazing. she was all by herself with her keyboard singing, and then a minute or so later the guitars came blasting in. it was so exhilarating. (plus i have the EXACT pants she was wearing! neener! :P)

the dancing was great. everyone got as close to the stage as possible, waved around their "rawk on" sign, and jumped! i was having the time of my life. my throat is REALLY sore from doing my scream- it sounds like a mix between a in-huge-pain scream and heavy metal call. it's very loud and got LOTS of attention, ahahaha xD every time i did it people would look around with this look on their face: o.O one guy turned around and held his beer bottle in a toast-like way. grr, i don't know how to say this- he tipped it in my direction? do you have any idea what im talking about? anyway, he did whatever it is with his beer and just grinned at me.

the dancing was great. most definately the time of my life. juping up and down, moving my head up and down, screaming, singing, and jumping with the music. pure emotion (as said by tanekko) right there, folks. the time of my life.

evanescence / cold concert

hey, check it out. not only have i used a nifty livejournal tool i've discovered another great band. i've had the system of a down cd for quite a while but i never really got the chance to listen to it all the way through. that's what i'm doing right now, and it's great. i can't even believe i wasn't aware of this sexy music. hold on, let me go get a gun XP

tanekko (no url right now) and i were planning to bring another friend to the evanescence and cold concert this friday in our area (and have an awesome time) but she can't. gah, we we're all so disappointed. anyway, tanekko and i still plan on going. just in case you wanted to know. i don't know if i'll be able to take pictures. if i do i'll post some pictures up here. have fun with this toy:

_vampire
is intense.

You're no-nonsense, to the point, working all the time, looking to die an early death in a bathroom somewhere when your body finally gives out. Way to go.

the drought

some of you may have heard on the news that kansas is experiencing a drought. for once, your weather man isn't lying to you. it feels so hot i think my skin is melting off. i'm going to have to carry around a bucket for melted flesh that may accidently 'slip off' during the brief periods of time that i'm outside.

i've made a goal. i've been ranting, raving, and whining for a laptop for years now, and i'm going to by myself one. that means two things: for one, i'll be eternally happy with my laptop (yes, that does include getting hitched in a small villiage someplace in africa), and you wont hear me begging for a computer younger than sasquash. (spelling?!)

overall: $43 current. goal: about $900. that's how much a good refurbished laptop is, i'm guessing.

UGH i just wrote a huge entry but my computer started acting like, well, itself. so, it's lost. ARGH i hate it! i'm going to florida tomorrow though, so it's hard to stay angry at anything right now. i'll be back next friday, so expect a post then, if i'm not too lazy. i'm going to miss an entire week of lazlo!! the horror!!

i was just in a huge watergun fight with my brother and his friend. i can very happily say that i won. heh heh heh >:D now i better go, so i can start reading the new seventeen magazine that i, sadly, subscribed to a long time ago. they make me laugh. i'm insane.

i just got this journal this evening so i'm still trying to get the hang of customizing everything- im very confused on the whole override business. if you're feeling extremely kind you might give me a couple of hints, but otherwise i'll figure it out on my own, eventually. thanks a LOT for the LJ code, spla5hed heh you made my day <3
