First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MULTIPLE FRANCE. I meant to write you fic ...and then my room was unexpectedly invaded all weekend. But I will get on that ASAP.

Due to said unexpected invasion of my room, it wasn't until today that I wound up getting to watch Doctor Who with goldy_dollar and her friend kazutakia. ( Spoilers for 5x01!Collapse )

AHHHHH CLASSES ARE OVER FOR THE TERM. YESSSS. I HAVE WAITED FOR THIS MOMENT. I still have a take-home and four other exams, and I'm not done until the 21st, but NO MORE PAPERS, SWEET LORD THANK YOU.

In celebration I got Chinese food with goldy_dollar and we continued our "Crazy Ten is Crazy" marathon. So far we've conquered "The Christmas Invasion", "The Runaway Bride", "The Shakespeare Code", "The Lazarus Experiment", "Utopia" and "Fires of Pompeii". We wanted to proceed to "Journey's End", but when I went to get out the disc it... was not in my boxset. Because it was in my computer at home. Oops.

Improvising, we decided to watch "Dreamland".

I have done you all the great service of deciding to summarise it, for those who like their eyes and want to keep them.

So pretty much the bulk of what I wrote over the summer were the fics with wild_sibyl and goldy_dollar respectively, and both of them were a lot of fun. However this also means that all I've really written in like six months is Cloen angsting around, and I really miss writing Donna because Donna is great.

So... someone give me something to write which features Donna being awesome.

In other news last night goldy_dollar and I saw "Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs" primarily because it was the only thing playing at a convenient time, and it was kind of really awesome. It was legitimately hilarious, I was very surprised.

Also, happy Jew celebrations to all Jews on my flist. SHANA TOVA seems to be the appropriate thing to say so I will say it.

I'm writing a fic with goldy_dollar and I find the process kind of hilarious. The last collab I did was with wild_sibyl and we were basically on the same wavelength the whole time. With Frances it seems to be more like:

Frances: I think we should show him getting better.
Kali: Let's have him set fire to an orphanage.
Frances: ...Or he could go to dinner at Jackie's.
Kali: OH. OH, WHAT IF HE STABS A PUPPY?
Frances: ...Um...

Apparently Harry Potter didn't rid of me of my "LOL ANGST IS FUN" thing as well as I had hoped.

Ten's crowning moment of hypocritical douchebaggery was totally...

There's finally a Waters of Mars clip that looks somewhat interesting! I appreciate the way every single one-off companion must be "the Doctor's most ____ companion yet!!!", I enjoy watching them try to come up with new adjectives. Apparently this chick is ~strong-willed~ but previously I heard intelligent. I don't have much to say about it beyond OOO SHINY.

goldy_dollar and I watched the first three episodes of Children of the Earth yesterday, and she has a joint reaction post here. ( Other things that have occured to me include:Collapse )

Lastly, chips_remixed fics went up yesterday and hippiebanana132 remixed my fic right here: Some Sort of Time Lord Code (The Preamble Remix). It is nifty so you should go read it.

While watching "Planet of the Ood", goldy_dollar and I got into an argument over what the most ridiculous moment of OMGWTF in Doctor Who is.

Which moment made you WTF the hardest?

Yesterday goldy_dollar and I saw "Up". It was very cute and I cried, which was probably a positive step towards convincing Frances I am not a Cylon. The talking dogs were the best part but I accept that because talking dogs are AWESOME. Whatever, princess movies, 101 Dalmatians ftw. I also took the last possible bus home and during it some creepy drunk old man came on to me. Hurrah! Unfortunately for him he will have to join the queue of creepy old men who want some of this.

I also stole from Frances "The Story of Martha" (self-explanatory) and "Winner Takes All" (Nine and Rose). It occurs to me that the Doctor Who books are kind of very hilarious but only a truly deranged branch of us are brave enough to read them, so I might do some summary/review things for lulz. And for people like lacunaz who want to see Gandhi in the TARDIS but not for the price of $14.50. Also, I just really really like summarising things. I don't know, I have strange passions.
