I've seen some Martha hatin' floating around and I'm sure there must've been plenty back in the day, but by now it just makes me kind of scratch my head. What irritates me most I think is when people try to ~cleverly disguise~ their hate in fic. If you can't write a character without writing them unfairly, just... don't write them, wtf.

I keep meaning to write some Martha gen, partly because I find this fandom's lack of gen disturbing, and partly because yeah, I haven't written much Martha and that's not totally fair because Martha is pretty wicked, I must say.

I don't know where this idea comes from. Dunno, but I've seen it around. I've even seen "Team ___" icons and people saying that. IS THIS A BATTLE? WAS I UNAWARE OF SOME COMPETITION THAT REQUIRED TEAMS? Idgi.

My only team is Team TARDIS. The fic I'm writing right now with

ladychi is so OMG WE'RE GETTING THE BAND BACK TOGETHER TO KICK THE MASTER'S ASS. So Martha of course has to get a piece of that. I want her to kick his ass but good.

I must not be hanging around the right places. Though as of like last month I've decided I've had it with wider fandom and anyone who's not on my f-list. All y'all bitches can call me when you become not bugnuts.

That is only natural.

I dunnno. The only regular character I'm not super keen on is Jack, and even then it's not like I go into throes of rage when I see stuff about him being in an episode.

I don't peek into wider fandom very often. Every time I do it is terrifying. But I still watch fandomsecrets so I see a lot there.

Jack I find about one million more times more interesting in fic than on screen. It helps to not have Barrowman's atrocious acting getting in the way of a potentially intriguing character.

LIRL My favourite parts of Torchwood are when Barrowman cries, it's always so great.

I didn't mind him in Doctor who s1 and s3, and then I watched Torchwood and found him just so obnoxious and hard to tolerate that it kind of ... contaminated him in general.

But I wouldn't go out of my way just to write a fic highlighting the reasons I think he sucks.
