Truth. I love a lot of ships but if somebody starts rattling off nonsense about "Snape's love was stronger than James' it would've cast a protective shield around Lily" then I start rattling chains and cracking knuckles and telling people they are WRONG ON THE INTERNET

Yeah I like Amy/Rory a lot and when I see people talk about how fucked up it is I'm always like "lol no you're watching wrong", but I don't get the HOW VERY DARE YOU DO WE NEED TO TAKE THIS OUTSIDE I WILL END YOU feeling I get when I see someone talk about how Rose was too clingy or the Doctor didn't love her.

lmao Snape/Lily wank is on another level for me, because it's not even just about James/Lily it's about how gross the attitude some of those people have towards Lily and Snape and James is. I can't @ the deifying of Snape and the horrible misogyny against Lily etc.

A big hint for me is if my investment in that ship overwhelms my ability to watch an episode like a normal person. I think only Ten/Rose has reached that level.

I follow the Lily and James tracked tag on tumblr and it brings me endless lolz because everyone is like OMG HAVE YOU READ COMMENTARIUS BY BEEDAILY? IT IS SO GOOD and I'm like lol i remember when she started that, like seven years ago jfc i'm old.

I liked Karen as Ginny for a while, but the more I saw her as Lily, the more I dug it. I like Emma Stone as Ginny a bit ... idk, I have a specific head!Ginny that I can't quite relate to a celebrity.

Andrew Garfield is precious to me and if his hair were darker, he's pretty close to how I picture James.
