So the new companion was announced! Like the rumours last night said, it is someone named Jenna-Louise Coleman. Which is a mouthful. What do I call her? Jenna? Coleman? JLC?



She's very cute and makes a good impression in the interview, I think. As casting goes this isn't really breaking any molds, but I didn't think it would so... oh well. I was concerned that her babyface would be an excuse for Moffat to write a very young companion, but her voice makes her sound a lot more mature so hopefully that isn't actually the case.

So over the ~mystery*~ of her character though and Moffat's inability to recognize that characters can be interesting without being mysterious. I mean, he doesn't make them very interesting when they're mysterious either, so I don't really know what he's going for. Plus it ruined my bingo. Anyway, I guess that means we can start taking bets on that then! ROMANA? SUSAN? JENNY? SUSAN'S MOM? SUSAN'S MOM WHO IS ACTUALLY ROSE AND CLOEN'S KID???
