Yeah I'm not entirely sure what Ten was thinking with the "genocidal" sales pitch, lol. I think his anger at Cloen is just the self-loathing projected outwards, and despite all the apparent rage he has about it I think a part of him would be relieved that someone else did it and he didn't have to.

Eleven is too much of a daddy towards Amy for me to ship it, it actually kind of squicks me. But I agree about Amy and Karen. Amy's okay, but I like Karen Gillan a lot, she's adorable. And yeah sadly I agree about s5. I like it a lot when I'm watching it, but I don't have the same fandom-y desire for fic/etc that I do for s1-s4.

Yeah, a lot of my early fic in this fandom used that -- the "we can travel in the future but right now we're stuck" scenario. I still like that, I guess. I'm not so interested in stories about them actually travelling, just because action/adventure fic isn't really what I like to read, I like to read character stuff. I think Cloen/Rose shippers are sort of evenly split on the TARDIS coral thing. These days I don't read fic that often so I'm not sure if it's more common for them to have it or not.

I saw Dr. Horrible just once so I do know what it is, I'm just not super familiar with it. That video is AWESOME. Cleverly edited, NPH singing and Cloen saves the DAYYY! I love Cloen sfm. *adds to youtube faves*

Eleven is a little daddy-ish toward Amy but in some ways that reminds me of Nine/Rose at the beginning of s1. I have daddy issues I guess cuz mine died before I hit puberty, so there's like an absence of personal squicky-ness for me there, and in some ways I find that I want a boyfriend to be a bit of a father figure (and therefore pretty much exclusively like guys who are at least a couple years older than I am). That's also why "Father's Day" is like, guaranteed weep-fest every time I watch it, but that's beside the point.

It's weird, Eleven and s5 remind me a lot more of classic Who. I don't know if that's a compliment or not. I haven't seen a lot of classic Who but I do remember watching quite a few Tom Baker episodes back when I was about 12. I find that Nine and Eleven are more like I remember that Doctor being, and sometimes I like that. I think Eleven actually acts more like an old man than even Nine did, which is kind of awesome. And yet it still doesn't squick me to ship the Doctor with Amy because she's actually older than Rose was. He might act different with her because he knew her as a little girl, but I think if there'd been no Rose (PERISH THE THOUGHT, WOE) he'd be all over Amy.
