I'm not a big Halloween person. Well that's not true. I'm not a huge costume person. Body insecurities leading to hating to draw attention to my body blah blah blah issues blah. Anyway, I currently don't have any plans for Halloween, but that could certainly change. I'm too older for trick or treating, and I'm in student housing (and I'm in the UK) so I don't even get to hand candy out. :(

I'm not a huge party person either, so idk. I might just end up hanging out with some friends or staying in and eating mini bars of chocolate. And I'm considering having my mom mail me some Candy Corn from the States.

lol I have similar issues finding costumes, but I guess my overall delight at the idea outweighs the depressing reality.

One of my friends has a Halloween party every year, so that's usually my plan for approximate Halloween. On the actual night-of, though, I usually wind up being the one handing out the candy. And also eating the candy. Candy corn is good in small doses! I find I get sick of it really quickly but a few pieces are always good.

I was putting clothes away for my parents a few days ago and I stumbled across a tweed jacket and suspenders... So I'm going to find a bow tie and a striped shirt and dress as Eleven's badass self.

I think one thing that would prevent me from being a Doctor Who character is that I would get tired of having to explain to everyone who I was.

I have to attend the departmental party, which, granted, is usually pretty fun. But hopefully I'll be organizing an actual fun party with some friends, so we'll see. Also, I was going to be a Greek statue-type-thing, because at an art history department party, you generally try for something art historical, and I have in the past, but I found a dress that I will actually wear in real life that looks like a flapper dress, therefore I will be a flapper this year. (And my mother told me I wasn't allowed to wear the dress before Halloween! I... am a grown-up, really...)

Also, LOL, that secret. That was really up at Fandom Secrets? A+ Ten!

Also also- last year one of the girls from the department dressed up as an old school ghost in a sheet with eye holes cut out. It was amazing. Regarding the other costumes that show up at the party, I will say this, the art historians do well when it comes to Halloween and creativity.

Welllll, Hermione is always my back-up costume. Rachel Berry is a strong possibility for one night. My sorority's social theme is Decades, so my friends and I are going as Spice Girls (to represent the '90s!). And it's a strong possibility that I'll wear regular clothes and slap on a nametag that says "God."

Excuse you. We don't need Halloween. We have St Martin (=candy from strangers + lanterns + bonfires) and Karneval (=candy from parade wagons + costumes + partying). That's 1 day of pyromania, 6 days of costumes, 7 days of teeth rot and one week more awesome than Halloween.

I love Halloween. I do not love Halloween in Germany. It does not belong here.
