5x11 the lodger  

Hahaha I saw that teaser from SFX Magazine about "Amy discovers something" and right away I was like "IT'S THE RING ISN'T IT SHE FINDS THE RING SHE TOTALLY FINDS THE RING". Bingo. I see that also answers my question of "what happened to it" -- the Doctor has been carrying it around. lol awww. Guy love~

BUT ANYWAY. THE REST OF THE EPISODE.

But I just inspected it more carefully and ROSE WAS IN THERE. AT THE END OF TEN'S... THING. Yeahhhh check it out:


I didn't see Martha or Donna (lol though there was an ood and the Queen of the Racnoss) but YEAH ROSE. YEAHHH. I don't know whose decision that was but A+.

Mostly I found it really hilarious, and I'm very fond of Eleven so I enjoyed seeing him be an oblivious douchebag etc, especially during the soccer scene. LOL ELEVEN. LOL. I am not totally sure what the deal was with the part where he... goes to a meeting for Craig... did he share Craig's amazing idea or whatever? Idgi. I thought Craig flipping out at the Doctor worked a lot better than Mickey's... weird... lecture in the comic, so well done on improving your original idea, Gareth Roberts.

Was anyone else totally distracted by the weird portrait in Craig's hallway in that scene wiht Sophie? Omfg I couldn't stop staring at it and laughing:



The plot of it -- someone's building... a...TARDIS...? and they are stopped by the POWER OF CRAIG/SOPHIE?.... was pretty bizarro, but it is Doctor Who so that just felt normal tbh. The climax was weird and I laughed at "THE WHOLE SOLAR SYSTEM!!!", but they also gave me the Doctor talking to Crookshanks so I accept it w/e.

In conclusion, it had a WTF plot but lots of lulz, so I approve.

The trailer for next week as mostly uninformative but I'm still intrigued. DALEKS? IN THE FINALE? OH MY STARS WHO COULD'VE SEEN THAT COMING. I'm excited for more River, though. I have no idea how that happened.

Daleks, Cybermen, Slitheen, Sontarans, and everybody else! I doubt they'll all be there. But the trailer does look really interesting, even if I have no idea what's going to happen.

So who even built the Tardis copy thing? I like episodes that are focussed on characters and Matt Smith being a douche while wearing a towel, but they didn't seem to put ANY effort into the alien plot.

I have NO idea where they're going with this lol.I knew the Daleks would be back and remembered the Cybermen from the trailers, but man. Omg Sontarans. Do want. I love Sontarans.

My guess is that it will either be relevant next week, or NEVER EXPLAINED EVERRR. lololol I'm not sure which I am hoping for.

- thank you for doing what I was about to with my freshly... recorded... vhs tape. From my miracle recorder that receives random UK shows. Yes. That.

Eleven air-kissing everybody's cheeks (doublesided, no less) absolutely made my day. And him singing in the shower. And the number on his football jersey. And "Call me Rottmeister". And Craig giving HIM a set of keys. And so much more.

LOL I don't even know what compelled me to comb through it more carefully but I am glad there was Rose there to make it feel worth my time. It is probably stupid how excited I was when I noticed it. But if she's never going to be mentioned by name again I will take what I can get, okay.

Omfg everything was so funny. "Can you hold please, I have to eat a biscuit". Oh Eleven.

I haven't watched it yet (it just downloaded, but I'm super sleepy and right now napping seems more appealing than Doctor Who), but ROSE!!! Yay!!!

I'm excited for more River, though. I have no idea how that happened.

ROSE! I didn't notice her at all (it's super quick) until I went through this scene frame by frame. I wish I had a good reason for why I decided to go through it frame by frame, but I don't, really, I was just curious. AND MY NERDERY WAS REWARDED.

I think it might partly be because I'm sort of lukewarm on Amy -- for the first time I seem to enjoy the show more when it's a 3-person Team TARDIS. And I hope she and Eleven do the mommy/daddy thing again rofl.

I just watched it!

IT HAD THE DOCTOR PLAYING FOOTBALL.

I kind of loved this episode, and I can't even explain it. It was just so much fun. And this episode finally made me love Eleven. I'd been warming up to him over the course of the series, but with this episode it became a full fledged love.

LOL THE DOCTOR BEING AWESOME AT SOCCER WAS HILARIOUS. poor Craig. I loled so hard when he stole the ball from Craig or... whatever happened there (I am Canadian, I don't understand these things.) And I know Matt Smith used to want to be a ~footballer~ so he probably had a tonne of fun shooting that.

I liked it a lot too even though the plot was so messed up and out there, lol. My love for Eleven has been steadily growing so I was looking forward to this episode sealing the deal. And it did.

My reaction to the trailer for next week was basically "WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHAT'S THE MOST FEARED BEING IN THE UNIVERSE ITISYOUYOUIDIOT." Also, I didn't really catch any of the flashback-y stuff, but ROSE! <3

I don't know any spoilers for the finale but there's all this speculation that it's EVIL DOCTOR or whatever and I approve of this suggestion so much. Waters of Mars is my favourite episode, so.

It's really fast so you have to do it like, frame by frame to catch much of anything (I wish I had an excuse for doing this lol but I don't), but while I was doing it I was like "...wait a minute!" I'm really excited by it for some reason. IDK. Haters to the left.

omg rose! i didn't even notice rose so thank you for pointing that out! and i agree with you, this episode was lulz but it was just kinda perfect love. and i loved 11 playing football and being a douche. and taking his job. andddd just everything. i really like 11. ...i also like amy was in this for like 10mins, total.

AND YES TO THAT PAINTING/PICTURE but i was like 'is that the guy? is this is ~clue~'. obviosuly, no. but that's all i kept looking at.

and pandorica. how exciting. i am really though, i like cyberman - no idea why

YOU ARE WELCOME I was really excited. I went to go post it to doctor_rose_fix and then noticed goldy_dollar had already posted for the day lol.

I really like Eleven too! And... unfortunately yeah I was okay with having an Amy-lite episode. Come on, Amy, dazzle me in the last two!

OMG IT WAS SO WEIRD WTF LOL

The Cybermen crack me up, but only when they are arguing with Daleks.

This felt like a typical nonsensical RTD episode. So I loved it.

I also felt the need to make a LOL SOPHIE IS HIS PATRONUS joke. So consider it made.

I am also unexpectedly excited for River. Also OMG ROSE IN THE THING.

ROSE IS IN THE DOCTOR'S SPARKNOTES VERSION OF HIS LIFE. YEAHHHH ATTA GIRL. She and Amy are the only companions in the whole montage so I consider this a win. ...not that I would've minded some Donna or Martha, but yes. Haters gonna hate.

OMG WTF?! I totally missed Rose being in there! I was too busy laughing, I think. Because of COURSE Eleven would head-butt instead of doing Ten's gentle temple-caress. Of *course* he would. But that's... super sweet. (Which obviously means no one important had anything to do with it, and it was just some random editor's idea.)

Ohhh, this episode. So much CRACK.

I'm excited for more River, though. I have no idea how that happened.

Oh ELEVEN! You make me laugh so much.

1. I love how Jack looks over in the first gif like, "what can possibly be more interesting than MEEEEE (and the end of the world)??"

2. Oh, the Office! :D

-I totally missed ROOOOse! I'm shocked that she showed up, but yay Rose!
-Yes, that was such a bizarre portrait. I have no idea what was going on in that scene, I was so distracted by it!
-I loved the Doctor talking to the cat too.
-I'm starting to think that it's a rule that you have either the Daleks or the Master in all finales. However, I approve, and agree with your conclusion.

PS- I'm pretty sure that scene of 10 and Rose is from the Satan Pit. I am consoling myself about the fact that I can guess this because it looks like Rose is wearing that pink jacket, and at least that was distinctive. ...
